Send Every Website Form Straight to Your CRM
Your contact form, your trade-in form and every landing page form send their submissions to your form intake link, and each one becomes a lead in LeadLocate CRM, assigned to a salesperson with the first text ready to go.
What does connecting a website form to the CRM actually do?
A dealership website collects leads all day long: a contact form, a trade-in request, a schedule a test drive form, a get e-price button on a vehicle page, a landing page built for one weekend sale. In most stores those submissions arrive as notification emails in a shared inbox and wait for somebody to copy them into the CRM. When you connect your website forms to LeadLocate, that step is gone. Every account has its own form intake link, and any form that sends its submissions to that link creates a lead in LeadLocate CRM the moment the customer presses submit, with the customer's name, phone, email and message mapped to the right fields on the lead record.
The lead goes straight to work. It arrives with its source attached, goes to the salesperson your assignment rule picks, and the first text can go out automatically under that salesperson's name. The shopper who asked about a truck at twenty to ten on a Tuesday night gets a text from your store while they are still scrolling your inventory, which is exactly when a reply wins the conversation.
This page is about the forms you already have. When the store wants new ones, Lead Pages is the landing page builder inside the CRM, and every form built there is connected from its first publish.
How does a website form lead move through the store on a normal day?
Take a Saturday. A shopper fills in the trade-in form on your site at a quarter past eight in the morning, before anyone has unlocked the showroom. The form sends the submission to your form intake link and a lead appears in the Leads view, labeled with the source it came from. Round robin hands it to the next salesperson in the rotation, that salesperson's phone gets a text alert, and the first message written for that source goes to the customer: a short note from the salesperson, with the store's name, asking when is a good time to look at the trade.
By the time the salesperson walks in, the customer has already answered. The whole thread sits on the lead next to the form fields the customer typed, so nobody asks for information the shopper already gave. The sales manager, who is on that source as a manager copy, saw the lead arrive by email and in the CRM at the same moment, and can see from the thread that it is being worked without walking the floor to ask.
At noon a second form comes in from a landing page your marketing agency built for a holiday sale. Same path, different label. At the end of the month the store narrows its Leads view by source and knows exactly how many leads the contact form, the trade-in form and the holiday page produced, because every one of them carried its source from the first second.

Which website forms can I connect to LeadLocate?
Any form that can send its submissions to a link. That covers the forms on your dealer website, whichever company built the site, the forms inside landing page builders, and WordPress forms, where almost every form plugin has a setting for where submissions go. Contact us, value your trade, schedule a test drive, get e-price, vehicle inquiry, event RSVP: if the customer typed it into a form on a page you control, it becomes a lead.
The fields map without a developer writing a line. Name (including first and last name as two separate fields), phone, email and the message or comments box land where a salesperson expects to find them on the lead. A short two field form works as well as a long one, because a name, a phone or an email is all a lead needs to start a conversation.
Forms LeadLocate builds for you are connected out of the box. Your LeadLocate website, the personal salesperson websites and every Lead Page already send their submissions to your account, so connecting a form is only a task for forms built somewhere else. Credit applications have a home of their own: the online credit application form in SecureWebX is built for the sensitive data a finance application carries.
Where do website form leads show up in the CRM?
In the same Leads view as every other lead, on the desktop CRM and on the LeadLocate phone app. Each lead carries its source label, so a rep sees at a glance that this customer came from the trade-in form rather than a third party provider, and a manager can narrow the list to one form's leads in a click. The customer's typed message sits on the lead record, and from there every call, text and email with that customer builds on one communications timeline.
The rules that decide what happens to a form lead live with your lead sources. Open Account Settings under Billing and Admin and choose Lead Sources, and every source you add there gets its own intake email and its own form intake link, together with the rules for that source: who gets the lead (Round Robin, a single user, or unassigned so the first rep can claim it), the status new leads land in, whether the assigned salesperson gets a text alert, whether your standard follow up messages run, and whether managers receive copies. Give the contact form one source and the trade-in form another, and each can follow its own rules. The full picture of how sources and feeds work together is on the Lead Feeds Manager page.
What does this replace, and what does the old way cost?
The old way is a notification email and a person. The website vendor emails each submission to a group inbox, somebody reads it, somebody retypes it into the CRM or forwards it to a rep, and the customer waits for all of that to happen. On a busy Saturday that is an hour. After closing it is the next morning. A shopper who filled in three dealers' forms on the same evening talks to whichever store texts back first, and the store that retyped the lead by hand is rarely that store.
Some stores patch the gap with third party automation tools that catch the notification email and push it somewhere else. That adds another subscription, another login and another thing somebody has to watch every time the website vendor changes its email layout. Connecting the form straight to the CRM removes both the retyping and the middle layer: the form sends to your form intake link, the lead is created, and the rules you set run on it. For stores that already relied on those tools, LeadLocate built the same work into the CRM as Intake Process Automation.
There is also the attribution cost. A lead retyped by hand usually loses its source along the way. A form lead in LeadLocate keeps it for life, which turns dealer website lead attribution into something the store reads off a report instead of rebuilding from memory at renewal time.
How does a form lead stay compliant from the first text?
A customer who fills in your form asked to hear from you, and the lead record keeps the proof: the source label of the form, the time the lead arrived and the message the customer typed. The first text the customer receives is the one you wrote for that source in Automated Templates, so it carries your store's name and the salesperson's name and answers what the customer actually asked for, instead of a generic blast.
Your blacklist applies to form leads exactly as it applies to every other lead. A contact on the store's DNC Blacklist stays hidden from every CRM view whichever form it came through. Every call, text and email that follows is logged on the customer's communications timeline with the salesperson who sent it, so when a customer asks why they were contacted, the answer is one click away. Your form intake link is private to your account, and every lead it creates belongs to your store and only your store.
How do I connect my website form?
Forms on your LeadLocate website and your Lead Pages are connected already. For a form built anywhere else, open Account Settings under Billing and Admin, choose Lead Sources, and click New Lead Source. Give the source a Feed Label your team will recognize on a lead row, such as Website Trade-In Form, pick the assignment and the notifications, and click Save Feed. The confirmation shows the source's intake email and its form intake link, each with its own copy button. Paste the link into your form's settings where it asks where submissions should be sent, publish the form, and send a test from your own phone. The test lead appears in the Leads view within moments, labeled with the new source.
The step by step version, with every button named, is how to connect a website form to the CRM. If your website vendor would rather handle it, send them the link; our support team can walk them through it on a call. For a form that sends its data in an unusual shape, a custom connection is available on request, and our team puts it in production for your dealership.
What should I pair website forms with?
The form gets the lead in the door; the rest of the CRM decides how fast it turns into an appointment. Automated Templates set the first text and email for each source, so write one for every form you connect. Round robin lead assignment spreads form leads across the floor so the same rep is not buried every Monday morning. Manager lead copies put a sales manager on every form lead from the second it arrives, beside the salesperson who owns it. And live chat for car dealers catches the shopper who would rather type a question than fill in a form; the dealership CRM with website live chat page shows how chats and forms land in the same inbox.
Website forms to CRM is part of LeadLocate CRM on every account, month to month, with the plans listed on the pricing page. See where it sits among the rest of the tools on all features, or watch the recorded demo to see a form lead land, get assigned and get its first text.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I connect a website form to my CRM?
Every LeadLocate account has its own form intake link. Point any website form at it, or at the link of a lead source you add under Account Settings and Lead Sources, and each submission becomes a lead in LeadLocate CRM with its fields mapped and its source attached.
Can dealer website form leads go straight to a salesperson?
Yes. Each source has its own assignment: Round Robin across the floor, a single user, or unassigned so the first rep can claim it. The assigned salesperson can get a text alert, and the first text to the customer can fire automatically.
Does it work with WordPress forms and landing page builders?
Yes. Any form that can send its submissions to a link works, including WordPress forms, landing page builders and the forms on your dealer website. Forms built in LeadLocate Lead Pages and on your LeadLocate website are connected already.
Do I need a developer to connect my website form?
Usually not. Most form tools have a setting for where submissions go; paste your form intake link there. Name, phone, email and message map on their own. If your website vendor wants help, our support team walks them through it.
Can a sales manager get a copy of every website form lead?
Yes. Put the manager on the source as a manager copy and they receive every lead it delivers, by email and in the CRM, beside the salesperson who owns it.
Is connecting website forms included in my plan?
Yes. Your form intake link is part of LeadLocate CRM on every account, month to month. The plans are listed on the pricing page.
Turn every form on your site into a working lead
