How to Connect a Website Form to the CRM
Add a lead source, copy your form intake link and paste it into the form. From then on every submission lands in the Leads view, assigned and labeled, with the first text ready to go.
Step by Step
Open your lead sources
From the Billing and Admin menu, open Account Settings. In the Lead Sources section, click Lead Sources. This is the page where your own sources, your manager copies and the feeds LeadLocate delivers for you all sit together.
Start a new source for the form
Open the Add your own lead sources drawer and click New Lead Source. Type a Feed Label your team will recognize on a lead row, such as Website Trade-In Form or Contact Us Page. Give each form its own source if you want to see which form produced which lead.
Decide who gets the lead
Choose the Lead Assignment: Round Robin to rotate form leads across the floor, Single User to send them all to one person or your BDC, or Unassigned so the first rep can claim them. Set the Default Status for New Leads so form leads land in the status your team works first.
Choose the notifications
Tick the text alert for the assigned salesperson, the standard follow up messages and Manager copies if a sales manager should see every lead from this form. These boxes are per source, so the trade-in form and the contact form can follow different rules.
Save and copy your form intake link
Click Save Feed. The confirmation shows the source's intake email with Copy Address and its form intake link with Copy URL. Click Copy URL. That link is private to your account, so keep it for your website and the people who manage it.
Paste the link into the form
In your website builder, landing page builder or WordPress form plugin, open the form's settings and find where it asks where submissions should be sent. Paste the link there and save. Name the fields name (or first name and last name), phone, email and message so they map to the right places on the lead.
Send a test
Publish the form, fill it in from your own phone and press submit. Open Leads in the CRM and the test lead is there with your new label. The source's Activity Log shows the submission as well.
Before you start
You need a LeadLocate CRM login that can open Account Settings, and access to the website or form tool where the form lives, or the name of the person who manages it. Decide one thing in advance: whether each form gets its own source or all forms share one. Separate sources cost nothing and give you a clean count per form at the end of the month, so most stores give the contact form, the trade-in form and each landing page a source of their own.
Check first whether the form needs connecting at all. Forms built in LeadLocate are connected from the day they go live: your LeadLocate website, the personal salesperson websites and every page built in Lead Pages already send their submissions to your account. The steps here are for forms built anywhere else. The feature itself, and what it replaces, is described on send every website form straight to your CRM.
What you should see
Within moments of your test submission, a new lead appears in Leads carrying the Feed Label you chose. The name, phone, email and message from the form sit in their own fields on the lead, so the salesperson reads the customer's question instead of a raw email. The lead is assigned by the rule you picked, the salesperson's phone gets the text alert if you ticked it, and if a first message is set for the source, it goes out under the salesperson's name.
On the Lead Sources page, the source row now shows a lead count and its last received time, and its Activity Log lists every submission. Managers on the source receive their copy by email and see the lead in the CRM beside the salesperson who owns it.

Quick checks
Match the field names. Forms map best when the fields are called name (or first name and last name), phone, email and message. A form with a name, a phone or an email creates a lead; one with all three gives the salesperson the most to work with.
Paste the whole link. Copy it with Copy URL rather than retyping it, and paste it in the form's setting for where submissions are sent, not in a redirect or thank you page field.
Keep the source switched on. A source marked Active takes leads; unticking Active pauses it without losing its history, which is handy when a seasonal landing page ends.
Let your vendor handle it if you prefer. Send your website company the link and the field names above; our support team can walk them through it on a call. For a form that sends its data in an unusual shape, a custom connection is available on request, and our team puts it in production for your dealership.
How to connect web forms from other tools
The same link works for any tool that can send a form's submissions to an address, including a chat provider or a landing page tool your agency uses, so the steps above cover each of them. Ad platform lead forms follow their own route, described on the integration pages such as connect Meta Ads to your dealership CRM and connect Google Ads to your dealership CRM. Shoppers who would rather type a question than fill in a form are covered by live chat for car dealers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I find my form intake link?
Open Account Settings, click Lead Sources and add a New Lead Source, or open one you already have. After Save Feed the confirmation shows the link with a Copy URL button. Forms built in LeadLocate use your account's form intake link automatically.
How do I connect a website form to a CRM without a developer?
Paste your form intake link into the form's setting for where submissions are sent and name the fields name, phone, email and message. Most website builders and WordPress form plugins have that setting, so no code is involved.
Can each website form go to a different salesperson?
Yes. Give each form its own lead source and set its Lead Assignment to Round Robin, a single user or unassigned. Each source keeps its own label, notifications and manager copies.
Do I need to connect forms on my LeadLocate website?
No. Your LeadLocate website, the personal salesperson websites and every Lead Page are connected from the day they go live.
Connect your website forms in minutes
