Connect Meta Ads to Your Dealership CRM
Facebook, Instagram and Marketplace campaigns built and launched from the same system that works the lead.
LeadLocate has a live, vendor-specific connection to this platform, verified against the vendor with real credentials. Meta is the one advertising network on this directory at that level. Campaigns are built from your selections in Leads Manager, deployed paused for review, and lead form submissions arrive through a signature checked webhook rather than an emailed spreadsheet.
What Meta advertising actually is, in dealership terms
Meta is Facebook, Instagram and Facebook Marketplace sold as one advertising account. For a dealership that matters more than it sounds, because those three surfaces reach a car shopper at three different moments and a single budget covers all of them.
Three products carry most of the weight for a store. Lead Ads put a form inside the app, prefilled with the name, email and phone the shopper already gave Meta, so the opt in costs a tap instead of a landing page visit. Automotive Inventory Ads serve individual vehicles from a catalog, which is the most mature VIN level advertising product any network offers. Marketplace is where a large share of used car browsing already happens, without anyone searching for a dealership by name.
The reason Meta reads differently from search advertising is intent. Nobody on Instagram typed "used truck near me". They are shown a truck because their behaviour suggests they are close to buying one. That makes the volume higher, the cost per opt in lower, and the follow up discipline more important, which is exactly the argument for running it from inside a CRM rather than a separate advertising console.
Why a dealership would spend money here
The honest case for Meta at a car store is cost per opt in. A native lead form removes the landing page, the page load, the form abandonment and the typing, and what is left is a shopper who tapped twice. Across the automotive category that consistently produces the cheapest contactable lead of any paid channel.
The honest objection is what that lead is worth. A form that takes two taps to complete also takes two taps to complete carelessly. Some of these people are early, some typed a real number and some did not, and a store that treats a Meta opt in like a phone up from a Google search will conclude the channel does not work. It works when the follow up is immediate and automated, which is a CRM problem rather than an advertising problem.
That is the whole reason this connection exists. A lead form submission is worth something for about five minutes. When the ad platform and the follow up live in two different systems, those five minutes are spent on an export. We wrote about what to reasonably expect from any paid lead source on what to expect from car sales leads, and every word of it applies here.
Where Meta stands with LeadLocate today
Meta is the only platform in this directory carrying the connected status, and the test for that word is published so you can check it: a vendor-specific integration exists in our code, and it has completed a verified call against the vendor with real credentials. Both halves are true here. The adapter is real code against the Graph API rather than a wrapper around somebody else's dashboard, and the credential verification is recorded in our own audit table.
Access class is PUBLIC, which is the vendor's gate rather than ours: anybody can register a developer application with Meta without waiting on an approval queue. That is why this network was built first. It is also why a dealership that wants to connect its own account can do so without a procurement conversation.
Lead capture is native, meaning the form lives inside Facebook and Instagram and never sends the shopper to a website. Catalog and conversion endpoints exist on Meta's side. What we do with them is covered plainly further down, because the gap between what a platform offers and what we have built is exactly the thing most vendors leave vague.
What data moves, and in which direction
Two directions, and it is worth being precise about both.
| Direction | What moves |
|---|---|
| Out to Meta | Campaign objective, ad set targeting, the geographic radius around your store, budget and flight dates, and up to three ad copy variants |
| Back from Meta | Lead form submissions by webhook, campaign spend, impressions, clicks and lead counts, and account and page identifiers when you connect your own account |
| Stored on our side | An encrypted access token, which objects were created and by which credentials, and an append only event log |
| Never moves | Your customer list, your inventory feed, and any hashed audience file |
The last row is the one to read twice. Some of what Meta supports is not something we do, and the section below says so by name.
How the ad gateway works underneath
Meta is not wired into LeadLocate as a special case. It is the first implementation of a contract every network answers.
Inside the CRM there is one library that defines what any advertising platform must be able to do: hand us an authorization URL, exchange the code for a token, list the accounts and pages you own, deploy a campaign, pause or resume it, return spend and results, and prove on demand that the connection still works. Seven operations. Every network we add answers the same seven, which is why adding one is an adapter file and a block of credentials rather than a project, and why turning one on does not disturb the ones already running.
Twenty networks are registered against that contract today. Meta is the one that is implemented. The other nineteen return a refusal that names themselves, so a stray call anywhere in the CRM fails loudly and readably instead of looking like an outage at the network. We would rather ship a refusal you can read than a green light you cannot trust, which is the same reason every platform in this directory carries a status with a stated test next to it.
Credentials, and the record of what was done with them
When an account is connected, the access token is encrypted before it is stored, using AES-256-GCM. Every action taken against the network is written to an append only event log carrying the company, the network, the user and the detail, stamped in UTC on purpose because these tables are shared across dealerships and a timezone relative timestamp is one you cannot reconcile later.
There is a third detail that matters more than it sounds. When campaign objects are created, the system records which credentials created them and re-resolves those same credentials afterwards. Disconnect your account next month and the campaigns built for you do not become orphans nobody can reach.
If you ever need to know who did what in your ad account and when, the answer is a query rather than a phone call. That is a deliberately unglamorous feature, and it is the one that matters when a franchise compliance review lands.
Managed by us, or connected to your own account
There are two ways to advertise through LeadLocate and you pick.
The first is the webXintel Ads Network. It is included, our team builds and runs the campaigns from the selections you make in Leads Manager, and it arrives as one line rather than a stack of platform invoices. Nothing to set up and no developer application to file.
The second is your own account. Connect the Facebook and Instagram advertising account your store already has and campaigns route through it instead, on your billing, in your name, with your spend history intact. Disconnect whenever you like and delivery falls back to the managed path without you doing anything. Most vendors will not offer the second option, because it costs them the markup on your media.
One limit stated plainly, because it is true today and you would find out anyway: pushing, pausing and reading numbers from a network is done by our team, not from your dashboard. That is a deliberate constraint while the connection layer is young, and it is on the list to open up.
What going live takes, and when you can measure it
On the managed path there is nothing to do beyond choosing a radius, a budget and an offer. On the self connect path you sign in with Facebook, grant the advertising permissions, and pick which advertising account and which page campaigns should run under. Minutes, not weeks, because the access class here is PUBLIC.
Meta has no platform imposed minimum spend, so the floor is whatever produces enough impressions in your trade area to be worth reading. Campaigns deploy paused, always, and activation is an explicit confirmed click. Nothing spends money because a script ran.
Expect readable lead volume inside about twenty four hours once a campaign is live, which is faster than any other category on this directory and is the reason Meta is usually the first channel a store turns on. That is a statement about how quickly the channel produces data, not a promise about how many leads you will get or what they will close at. Nobody can promise that, and a vendor who does is telling you something about themselves.
What we will not claim about Meta
Meta supports several things that we have not built, and since this page carries our strongest status word it is the page where the gaps matter most.
We do not emit a vehicle catalog. Automotive Inventory Ads run off a product feed, and there is no code anywhere in our stack that generates one for Meta. Inventory Link ingests your feed and merchandises your units, but it does not hand a catalog to an advertising platform. Until that exists, VIN level inventory advertising on Meta is not something we deliver.
We do not run a Conversions API. No server side conversion events, no offline conversion upload, no pixel installation or management. If a vendor has told you these are table stakes, they are right, and we do not have them yet.
We do not upload hashed audiences. Custom Audiences and lookalikes built from your customer list are a real Meta capability and we have no export that produces one.
A push today creates a campaign and an ad set, paused, and no ads, because the default creative image and lead form are not yet configured on the house account. That is the current state of the deployment path, stated exactly.
Everything above is on the roadmap and none of it is live. The reason to say so on the page rather than in a sales call is that you will find out either way, and finding out from us is cheaper for both of us.
If you want Meta running on your store
Meta is available now, which makes it the shortest conversation on this directory. Tell us the radius you want around the store, the offer, and whether you would rather ride the managed network or connect your own advertising account, and it can be live in a day.
If what you actually want is one of the gaps listed above, say that instead. Requests are recorded against the platform they name, and the tally is what decides build order, because a request from a store ready to spend on a channel is a better signal than any roadmap meeting. You will hear back from a person, and the answer will be a range or a reason rather than silence.
Pricing for the platform itself is on the pricing page and does not change based on which networks you turn on.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does LeadLocate integrate with Meta today?
Yes, and this is the only platform in the directory where that is true at the connected level. The published test for connected is that a vendor-specific integration exists in our code and has completed a verified call against the vendor with real credentials, and both are on record.
Can I use my own Facebook and Instagram ad account?
Yes. Sign in with Facebook from the Ad Accounts screen, grant the advertising permissions, and choose which account and page to use. Campaigns then run under your account, on your billing, and your spend history stays yours. Disconnect and delivery falls back to the managed network automatically.
What happens if I request something Meta supports that you have not built?
It goes into the queue tagged to your store and counted against that capability. The count is the input to build order. If it is something we will not build, you get told that plainly along with the reason.
Do Facebook lead form submissions land in my CRM automatically?
The submission reaches us in real time through a signature checked webhook, which is proven and running. Routing it onward into your lead intake is handled by our team today rather than by an automatic processor. That processor is built next, and until it exists we will not describe the path as fully automatic.
Can you advertise my actual inventory on Facebook Marketplace?
Not today. Marketplace vehicle listings and Automotive Inventory Ads both run off a catalog feed, and we do not generate one for Meta. Inventory Link merchandises your units on your own properties, which is a different thing, and saying otherwise would be the kind of claim this directory exists to avoid.
Is there a minimum spend?
Meta imposes none. Practically, the floor is whatever buys enough impressions inside your radius to produce readable data, and a campaign that is too small to read is worse than no campaign because it teaches you nothing.
What does a campaign push actually create right now?
A campaign and an ad set, both paused, with the objective, geographic radius, budget and flight dates you selected. It does not yet create the three ad variants, because the default creative image and lead form are not configured on the house account. Activation is always a separate confirmed click.
