How to Log in Without a Password in My LeadLocate
Forgot the password on a Saturday with a customer waiting? Ask for a one time sign in link by email or text, or use the passkey on your phone, and you are in.
Step by Step
Go to the sign in page
Open the My LeadLocate sign in page on the device you want to be signed in on. That last part matters: start on the phone if you want to end up signed in on the phone, because a link opened on the wrong device signs that device in instead.
Ask for a one time link
Choose the passwordless option instead of typing a password, and give the email address on your user record. The portal sends a single use link to that address. Nothing about your password changes, and you can go on using it later if you prefer.
Or have it sent as a text
If your user record carries a mobile number, ask for the sign in by text message instead. It lands in the same place your customers text you from, which is usually the fastest route when you are standing on the lot rather than sitting at a desk.
Open the link
Tap the link in the email or the text and it signs you in. The link is good once, and only for a short window, so open it while it is fresh rather than saving it for later in the day.
Use a passkey if your device has one
On a device that supports it, click Use a passkey and confirm with the same face, fingerprint or device code you already use to unlock it. Nothing is typed and nothing is emailed, which makes it the quickest route of the three on a phone you carry all day.
Get a fresh link if the old one is stale
If the link has already been used or has aged out, the portal shows Unable to sign in. Click Request a new link and a fresh one arrives; there is no need to start over or call anyone.
Set a password when you have a minute
Once you are in, use Reset Password to set a password you will actually remember, so you have both routes available. Then launch the CRM, Inventory Link or SecureWebX from the same screen and get back to work.
Before you start
You need a user on the account and access to the email address or the mobile number on that user record. That is the whole requirement. If the email on file belongs to somebody who has left the store, the account admin sets you up with a user of your own first, because the link goes where the record says.
Keep your own record current for exactly this reason. A correct mobile number on your user is what makes the text route work, and it is the same number the store uses to reach you about a hot lead. The My LeadLocate page covers the rest of what the portal holds, from invoices to your file library.
What you should see
After you ask for the link, the page tells you it has been sent and to check that inbox or that phone. The message itself is short: one link, nothing to copy out by hand. Tapping it drops you on your account dashboard, signed in, with the launch tiles for every product you are allowed to open.
If you used Use a passkey, there is no message at all. Your device asks you to confirm it is you and the portal opens. Either way you land in the same place, and what you can reach is decided by your user access rather than by how you signed in.
Questions? Request a Call Back
Leave your number and a lead specialist calls you back to answer your questions about pricing, coverage, and setup. Mon - Sat, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Pacific.

Why a link beats a password on the wall
Every store has had the same sticky note on a monitor, and every store has had the moment a person leaves and nobody is sure what they still have access to. A one time link removes both. It works once, it goes to a person rather than to a shared inbox, and the account admin can see which users exist and change what each one reaches.
It is also faster on the floor. A salesperson with a customer in front of them is not going to stop and hunt for a password, and what they do instead is borrow somebody else's login. That is what costs a store its lead history. Give every person their own sign in, tell them the link route exists, and the shared login habit disappears on its own. Security your store actually uses is the security that protects it.
If it did not work
The email never arrived. Check the junk folder first, then confirm the address on your user record is the one you are watching. A store that routes everything through one shared inbox often finds the link sitting there rather than in a personal one.
The link says it is no longer valid. It has already been used or has aged out. Click Request a new link on the Unable to sign in screen and use the fresh one straight away.
The text never came. Your user record has no mobile number on it, or has an old one. Ask your account admin to put the current number on your user, then try again.
You are signed in but the product you want is not on the screen. That is user access rather than sign in. The account admin decides which apps each person can launch and can add yours in a few seconds.
Related tasks
Which users exist, which apps each one can launch and who the account admin is are all handled in the portal, described on the My LeadLocate page. One sign in reaches every product, so the same visit launches LeadLocate CRM, Inventory Link and SecureWebX from one screen.
The LeadLocate Help Center has the guides that pair with this one: managing account access, opening a support ticket if an address on a record is wrong, and setting up your profile once you are in. A sign in arrangement your group needs that you do not see here is available on request, and our team puts it in production for your dealership.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign in if I forgot my password?
Ask for a one time sign in link by email or text message from the My LeadLocate sign in page. It signs you straight in, and you can set a new password afterwards with Reset Password.
Can I get the sign in link as a text message?
Yes, when your user record carries a mobile number. That is usually the fastest route on the lot, because the message lands on the phone already in your pocket.
How long is the sign in link good for?
It works once and only for a short window. If it has aged out, the portal shows Unable to sign in and Request a new link sends you a fresh one immediately.
What is a passkey and do I need one?
It is the face, fingerprint or device code you already use to unlock your phone or laptop. You do not need one, but it is the quickest of the three routes when your device supports it.
One login, every product, no sticky notes
Your account portal signs you in by link, by text or by passkey and launches the CRM, Inventory Link and SecureWebX from one screen. See how the account side works.
