How to Create a Lead Page in LeadLocate

Build a landing page with a lead form on your own domain in a few minutes, and every submission lands in the CRM inbox with its source attached.

A lead page is a landing page built inside LeadLocate CRM whose form submissions become leads in your inbox. You create one from the Website menu: open the Lead Page Manager, click Create New Page, give it a title, fill in Page Details with the logo, text and at least one lead form, then choose a domain and set the address in the Lead Page URL Setting screen.

Step by Step

  1. Open the Lead Page Manager

Sign in to LeadLocate CRM on the desktop, open the Website menu and go to the Lead Page Manager. It lists every page the store has with its ID, its title and its domain, and an Edit and Duplicate control on each row.

  2. Create the page

Click Create New Page. Enter a Page Title that says what the page is for, such as Used Truck Event or the salesperson's name for a personal page. The title is what you will find the page by later.

  3. Fill in Page Details

Open Page Details. Upload the Company Logo, write the contact text and the footer, and turn on Lead Form 1 for the main offer. Set the pop up labels that appear on the page and pick the inventory categories to show. Three form slots are available, plus slots for a form you already have elsewhere and a field for the free live chat widget code.

  4. Set the address

Open the Lead Page URL Setting screen. Pick a domain under Choose Domain from those available to the store, including any bought through the CRM, and set the page's path. If the page should send visitors somewhere else, set a Forward URL Destination.

  5. Save and open the page

Save, then open the page address in a browser. Read it on a phone as well as a desktop, since most visitors arrive from an ad on a phone. Submit the form yourself once as a test.

  6. Route the leads

Open the Lead Feeds Manager and confirm the page has a feed of its own, then set the first text and email for that feed on the Automated Templates page. Every submission now arrives in the inbox with the page as its source, gets an owner, and hears from the store within the minute.

Before you start

Lead Pages is live for every LeadLocate CRM account, and any user with the right role can build a page; that is how a salesperson comes to have a page of their own. Have the store logo file ready and decide what the page is for before you open the builder: a sales event with a two week life, a single model that needs its own page for an ad, a credit rebuilding offer, or a personal salesperson page. Each is a page, each page has its own address, and each page's leads are labeled by that page.

Decide the domain. A page can publish on a domain the store already has through the CRM or one you buy from the Website menu; the custom domains page covers that. Write the offer in one sentence and ask the form for what you need to respond well and nothing you would have to explain later.

What you should see

The Lead Page Manager lists your new page with its title and domain. Opening the address shows the logo, the headline, the contact text, the form you turned on and the footer, on desktop and on a phone. The inventory categories you picked show the store's live units.

Your test submission lands in the lead inbox within seconds, labeled with the page as its source. If round robin is on, it already has an owner. If the feed's Automated Templates are set, your phone gets the first text and a task appears on the assigned user's Workspace. Open the lead and the communications log shows what was sent. From the Website menu the visitor analytics show the page's traffic once the ad or text pointing at it is live, so by Friday you know which page drew visitors and which one converted.

If it did not work

The address does not open. The page has no domain or path yet, or the domain chosen has not finished setting up. Open the Lead Page URL Setting screen, confirm a domain is selected under Choose Domain and the path is filled in, and save again. A domain bought a few minutes ago can take a short while to resolve.

The form is not on the page. No form slot is turned on. Open Page Details and switch on Lead Form 1, then save.

Submissions are not in the inbox, or land under the wrong source. Check the inbox filter first, since a source filter can hide them. Then open Lead Feeds Manager and confirm the page has its own feed; without one the lead lands under the default feed with the default templates. The page redirects somewhere else. A Forward URL Destination is set. Clear it if the page itself should show.

Related tasks

Put the page address on an ad in Leads Manager, in a bulk text through a trackable short link, and on a business card from Design Studio. Set the first touch for the page's feed on the Automated Templates page so a submission hears from the store before the rep has looked up. Duplicate the page from the Lead Page Manager to make a second version with a different headline for a different ad.

The Lead Pages feature page covers the builder in full, and the personal salesperson websites page shows what a rep's own page looks like. Every other walkthrough is in the help center, and the contact page reaches a person who will build your first page with you. A layout or form field set the builder does not offer is available on request; our team puts it in production for your dealership.

Tips from the floor

One page per offer, not one page for everything; a page that tries to sell trucks, financing and trade ins converts none of them. Keep the form short. Put the page on a short address a listener can remember from a radio spot. Duplicate rather than rebuild when the event changes, and check the visitor analytics on Friday so the page is edited from numbers, not from a feeling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a web developer?

No. The Lead Page Manager under the Website menu is a builder. A manager creates the page, fills in Page Details, turns on a form, sets the address and saves. Editing later is the same screen.

Where do the leads go?

Into the lead inbox in LeadLocate CRM, labeled with the page as their source. From there round robin, the Lead Feeds Manager settings and Automated Templates treat them like any other lead.

Can the page use my own domain?

Yes. The Lead Page URL Setting screen lets you choose from the domains available to the store, including ones bought through the CRM, and set a forward destination if needed.

Is there a limit or a per page charge?

No. Build as many pages as your campaigns need. Lead Pages is included in every LeadLocate plan, month to month.
