Leads Manager: Build Your Own Lead Campaigns by Zone
A dealership knows its own market better than any vendor. Leads Manager lets the store draw the zone, pick the offers and see the numbers behind it, and every submitted lead in that zone comes back to its CRM, exclusively.
What Leads Manager does, in one sentence
Leads Manager is the screen inside LeadLocate CRM where a dealership builds its own lead campaign: it draws the zone it sells into, reads the zip stats and the market scan for that zone, chooses the offers the campaign will lead with, and submits the plan, after which our team runs the campaign from those selections and the leads arrive in the store's own CRM inbox. It is the product side of buying leads, the place where the store decides where the leads come from instead of being told.
For years the arrangement with a lead vendor was a phone call: tell us your ZIP codes, we will send you what we get. The store never saw the territory, never chose the offer, and often shared the leads with three competitors. Leads Manager replaces the phone call with a map and a set of choices the store makes itself, in the same LeadLocate CRM where the leads will be worked. The managed advertising that runs behind it is the webXintel Ads Network, and a store that already holds its own ad accounts can connect those instead. Either way, the plan is the store's.
How a dealership uses it on a normal Tuesday
A general manager in a mid sized market has watched two months of leads come in from the county to the north and almost nothing from the suburb twenty minutes south where half his service customers live. He opens Leads Manager, opens the zone editor, and redraws the zone so the southern suburb is inside it and the far northern ZIPs, where he has never delivered a car, are out. The zip stats tell him what each ZIP in the zone looks like; the market scan shows him the shape of the area he is about to campaign in. He sets the offers: the used truck event this month, the trade in offer for local owners who want a number on their car, and the financing offer the store runs year round.
He submits the campaign. Our team takes those selections and runs the media, and by the end of the week the leads from the southern suburb start landing in the CRM inbox with their source attached, where round robin hands them to the floor and Automated Templates send the first text. He did not call anyone, did not wait for a proposal, and did not explain his market to a rep who has never been to it. A month later he opens Reports, sees what the zone produced, and adjusts the zone again. The campaign is a thing he edits, not a thing he orders.

Where it lives: the zone editor, zip stats, market scan and offers
Leads Manager is its own area inside the desktop CRM, with a list of the store's campaigns and, inside each, the editor. The zone editor is the map: the store draws the territory the campaign covers, ZIP by ZIP, so a rooftop that delivers across a river but never across a county line can say so. Zip stats put numbers beside each ZIP in the zone, which is how a manager decides whether an outlying ZIP earns its place. The market scan describes the area as a whole, so the store campaigns into a market it has looked at rather than guessed at.
Offers are what the campaign leads with. A buyer lead campaign runs on the store's sales offers, and because Inventory Link reads the store's live inventory, the actual units the store has, with VIN, trim, mileage, price and photos, are what get advertised where the campaign calls for them. A feed is not required, which is why a broker with no lot runs the same builder. A seller lead campaign runs on offer requests: local owners who fill out one of our vehicle offer request pages and ask to be contacted by a dealership. The run your own lead campaigns page walks through the screens in order; the help center article shows the clicks.
What comes back: every submitted lead in the zone, exclusively
The rule that matters most is the simplest. Every lead submitted inside the zone is delivered to the store that owns the zone, and to nobody else. We ask prescreening questions at capture so the store knows what the shopper said about what they want, and then we deliver all of them. Nothing is filtered, scored, verified or graded before it reaches the inbox, because a system that decides which leads a store deserves to see is a system the store cannot check. Leads are a mix: some arrive with a VIN attached, because the shopper asked about a specific unit the campaign advertised; others describe what they want in general terms.
That means the inbox will contain the shopper asking about a truck three times her stated budget and the buyer who intends to negotiate every dollar. Those are real people who raised a hand in your zone, and the what to expect from car sales leads page explains why that is what demand looks like rather than a defect. A lead that is genuinely bad, a wrong number, a duplicate, someone who never asked, goes through a Quality Control Request in the CRM for replacement review after delivery. That is the honest mechanism: everything delivered, problems reviewed afterward, nothing quietly removed in between.
What it replaces, and what that costs elsewhere
It replaces three things a dealership has probably paid for. The lead vendor who sells the same lead to several stores in the same market and calls it a shared lead. The agency that plans the store's advertising from a city it has never visited and sends a monthly report that explains why the numbers are what they are. And the targeting phone call, where the store describes its market to a vendor's rep and hopes the description survived the handoff. Each of those puts the map in someone else's hands.
Leads Manager puts it in the store's. It is part of the plans that include leads, Inbound, Marketplace Acquisitions and the Buyers & Sellers Hybrid Plan, listed on the pricing page, month to month. A store that wants to cover the next town adds a zone from the add-ons shelf in My LeadLocate and draws it in Leads Manager the same day; a store that wants more volume adds a lead set the same way. The aged lead reactivation and declined service lead pages describe campaigns a store runs on the customers it already has; Leads Manager is how it reaches the ones it does not.
The compliance angle: fair lending, opt in sellers and no promises
A financing campaign is advertising for credit, and advertising for credit runs under fair lending rules that forbid narrowing an audience by age, gender, income, marital status, household size, education, language or ZIP. In Leads Manager those controls are locked for a financing campaign; it is planned around a zone and an offer, not around a profile of who the store would prefer to finance, and our team runs it that way. A vendor who offers to help a store target around those rules is selling the store a problem.
Seller leads are inbound and opt in. A seller lead is a local owner who filled out one of our own vehicle offer request pages and asked to be contacted by a dealership; that is the only kind of seller lead the platform delivers, and the store's follow up starts from a request the owner made. And there are no guarantees, on lead counts, close rates, credit quality, willingness to negotiate or sales results, because every one of those is decided by a consumer the store does not control. What the store controls is the zone, the offers, the speed of the first text and the quality of the follow up, and Leads Manager exists to make the first two the store's decision.
Who runs the campaign once it is submitted
Our team does, from the store's selections. The zone, the offers, the channels requested and the decision to start or stop a campaign are the dealership's, made in Leads Manager and in conversation with us; the media itself is run by our team, either through the managed webXintel Ads Network or, for a store that has connected its own ad accounts, through those accounts. The store is not left alone with an ad platform's console at eleven at night, and it is not told to trust a black box either. It sees its own plan, and it sees what the plan produced in the same Reports dashboard that measures every other lead source.
That division is deliberate. Dealerships are good at knowing their market and bad, through no fault of their own, at the daily mechanics of running media across networks whose rules change monthly. Leads Manager takes the part the store is good at and puts it on a map. The connect your own ad accounts page covers the store that wants campaigns to run through accounts it already holds, and what changes when it does.
How to turn it on, and what to pair it with
Leads Manager is available to a store on a plan that includes leads. A current subscriber opens it inside the CRM, draws a zone, reads the zip stats and the market scan, sets offers and submits; our team takes it from there and the first leads arrive in the inbox with their source attached. A store on CRM Only that wants to add leads moves to a plan with them on the pricing page, and a store that already has a zone adds another from My LeadLocate. Leads can also be routed into a CRM the store already runs, at no price change, if the store is not ready to move its team.
Pair it with Lead Feeds Manager, so the campaign's leads land in their own feed with their own Automated Templates and Follow Up Processes; with round robin, so they reach the floor evenly; and with the Reports dashboard, so the zone is judged by the same numbers as every other source. If you want to see a campaign drawn and submitted before signing up, the pre-recorded live demo shows the CRM in use, and the contact page reaches a person who will look at your market with you.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Leads Manager?
The self service lead campaign builder inside LeadLocate CRM. A dealership draws its zone in the zone editor, reads zip stats and a market scan, sets offers and submits the campaign; our team runs it from those selections and the leads land in the store's CRM inbox.
Are the leads exclusive to my store?
Yes. Every lead submitted inside your zone is delivered to your store and to nobody else. We ask prescreening questions at capture and deliver every submitted lead; nothing is filtered or scored before it reaches you.
Do I run the ads myself?
No. You make the selections in Leads Manager, the zone, the offers, the channels you want, and our team runs the media, through the managed webXintel Ads Network or through ad accounts you have connected. You see the plan and the results in the CRM.
Can I change the zone after the campaign starts?
Yes. The campaign is a thing you edit. Open it in Leads Manager, redraw the zone, adjust the offers and submit again; our team runs the updated selections. Adding a whole new zone is an add-on in My LeadLocate.
Why does a financing campaign lock some targeting controls?
Because advertising for credit runs under fair lending rules that forbid narrowing an audience by age, gender, income, marital status, household size, education, language or ZIP. A financing campaign is planned around a zone and an offer, and our team runs it that way.
Which plans include Leads Manager?
The plans that include leads: Inbound, Marketplace Acquisitions and the Buyers & Sellers Hybrid Plan, listed on the pricing page, month to month. Leads can also be routed into a CRM you already run at no price change.
