Revcontent Integration for Car Dealers
A tighter publisher pool than the volume networks, and a plain statement of what is connected and what is not.
This platform is registered in the LeadLocate ad gateway with its adapter scoped and its wire-up written, and it is not built yet. The adapter file holds a five step wire-up checklist, and every lifecycle call it receives comes back as a refusal that names the network. The directory publishes a checkable test beside every status it assigns.
What Revcontent actually is, in dealership terms
Revcontent is a native advertising network that sells the same recommendation unit as its larger competitors but keeps a narrower publisher roster. The trade it offers advertisers is fewer available impressions in exchange for a cleaner list of sites, with editorial review sitting between a publisher and the inventory pool.
For a dealership the practical consequence is where it belongs in the plan rather than what it does. The unit is still a headline, a thumbnail and a click. The click still lands on a page you own rather than a form inside the ad. What changes is that the placement report has fewer surprises in it, and that a brand sensitive franchise store has an easier conversation with its manufacturer about where the ads appeared.
The honest positioning is third in line. This is the network a store adds when the two largest native sources have stopped scaling at an acceptable cost, not the one it opens with. Ordering matters more in this family than in any other, and a page that pretended otherwise would be selling rather than advising.
Why a dealership would spend money here
The case is quality of surroundings at native economics. If a store has already been running recommendation units and has learned that a share of its budget goes to placements it would rather not be on, a network that curates the roster in advance solves a problem the store has actually experienced. It also tends to produce a steadier cost per click, because the inventory pool moves less.
The first objection is scale. A tighter roster means fewer impressions, so the ceiling is lower. A store that needs a very large number of clicks for a weekend event will hit that ceiling and start paying more for the last increment of volume, which is the opposite of what it wanted from a native buy.
The second objection is the daily floor. Roughly fifty to a hundred dollars a day is several times what the cheapest network in this family asks, so the cost of finding out is materially higher. Adding it as a third source before the first two have saturated splits the budget across three tests, each one slower to read than it should be, and slow tests are how a store ends up with a year of inconclusive native spend.
The third is creative review. A curated network is stricter about claims, and payment led or credit led headlines that clear elsewhere may not clear here. That is a real planning constraint for a store whose best performing message is a monthly figure, and it is worth knowing before the media plan is written into a dealership advertising budget.
Where Revcontent stands with LeadLocate today
Registered, not yet built. The stated test for that word is an adapter file in the ad gateway carrying a written wire-up checklist, committed and scoped, and that is exactly what exists here: five steps and no working lifecycle methods behind them.
Authentication is token based, with the credential requested from inside the advertiser dashboard rather than minted instantly. That is a small but real difference from a network that hands you a key the moment you log in, because it puts a short human step at the start of the build. It is a request rather than an application, which is why the access class below reads the way it does.
Access class is PUBLIC. There is no partner programme, no certification and no minimum contract standing between a dealership and API credentials for its own account. The gate here is ours, not the vendor's, and the honest reading of this page is that a store cannot use this network through the CRM because we have not finished the work, not because somebody else said no.
What data would move, and in which direction
Stated as a design, because none of it is running.
| Direction | What would move |
|---|---|
| Out to Revcontent | Boost campaign structure, country and region targeting, daily budget and bid, headline and thumbnail variants, and the destination page |
| Back from Revcontent | Spend, impressions, clicks, cost per click and widget level performance, plus the advertiser accounts the credential reaches |
| Stored on our side | An encrypted token, a record of which objects were created under which credentials, and an append only UTC event log |
| Not part of this work | A vehicle catalog, conversion uploads of any kind, and any customer or audience file |
Lead capture is clickout. There is no form inside the ad unit, so the opt in happens on your landing page through the trade appraisal, finance or enquiry forms already living in the CRM. That means the landing page is not a detail of this channel, it is the channel.
How the ad gateway works underneath
Every network in the CRM answers one contract, and this one is no exception.
A single library defines what an advertising platform must be able to do: hand us an authorization URL, exchange the credential for a usable token, list the accounts that credential reaches, deploy a campaign, pause or resume it, return spend and results, and prove on demand that the connection still works. Seven operations, one adapter file per network. Adding a platform is a file plus a credential block, which is why the remaining work here is countable and why finishing it cannot destabilise the network that is already implemented.
Credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are written to storage. Every action against any network lands in an append only audit log carrying the company, the network, the user and the detail, stamped in UTC deliberately, because that table is shared across dealerships and a company local timestamp is one nobody can reconcile months later. Campaign objects record which credentials created them and re-resolve those same credentials afterwards, so a store that disconnects an account does not leave campaigns nobody can reach. All of that already exists, which is the reason an unbuilt network is five steps of work rather than a project.
Managed by us, or connected to your own account
Two paths, and the choice belongs to the store.
The first is the webXintel Ads Network. It is included, our team builds and operates the campaigns from the selections you make in Leads Manager, and it arrives as one line rather than a set of platform invoices to reconcile. Nothing to configure, no credential to request.
The second is your own advertiser account. Connect the account your store already holds and campaigns route through it, on your billing, in your name, with your negotiated rates and your history intact. Vendors who mark up media rarely offer that option. For this network it is the unfinished half, which is the entire reason this page carries a status rather than a logo.
One boundary, stated because you would find it out anyway: deploying, activating, pausing and reading spend on any network is done by our team today rather than by a control on your screen. That is deliberate while the connection layer is young, and opening it is on the list.
What building this would take, and when you could measure it
Five ordered steps. Request API credentials from inside the advertiser dashboard. Fill the credential block and enable it. Implement account listing and campaign creation against the boost endpoints. Implement bid and budget updates and status changes. Implement reporting and the verification call.
The only step that is not purely ours is the first, and it is a request rather than a review, so the dependency is measured in days rather than in somebody's approval committee. That is a genuinely different position from the partner gated networks in this directory, where the vendor decides whether the work can start at all.
On measurement, clicks appear within hours of a campaign going live, and meaningful lead counts take two to five days. The slower half is not a fault of the network, it is a property of clickout advertising: a cold reader has to click, land, read and then choose to hand over a phone number, and that sequence has a natural pace. Both figures describe how fast the channel becomes readable. Neither is a prediction of volume, and any vendor offering you the second thing is telling you something about themselves.
The daily floor of roughly fifty to a hundred dollars should shape the plan. At that level a fortnight of running produces enough rows to judge headlines properly. A week does not.
What we will not claim about Revcontent
The gaps that apply specifically to this network.
We do not emit a vehicle catalog or an inventory feed here. Nothing in our stack generates a product feed for any advertising platform, so vehicle level dynamic units are not available through us on this network.
We do not run a server side conversions API. The platform supports one, which is why the absence needs stating rather than glossing. No server side conversion events, no offline conversion upload, no pixel installation or management. Optimisation toward a conversion signal we do not send is not something a finished adapter would give you.
We do not export a hashed customer list for matching, suppression or lookalike building, and no step of the checklist would produce one.
We do not vet the publisher roster on your behalf. The curation is the vendor's, not ours, and describing their editorial standard as a quality guarantee we provide would be a claim about somebody else's process. Ask them for the current roster policy before you fund the account.
No campaign has ever been deployed to this network from the CRM. The code does not exist, and finishing the checklist is what would change that.
If you want Revcontent on your store
Name it in the request along with your store, and say what it would replace or supplement. Requests are recorded against the platform they name, and the count decides build order, because a dealer ready to fund a channel is a better prioritisation signal than a preference expressed in a meeting.
Be aware that this network sits third in its own family for a reason that has nothing to do with its quality. If you are asking for it because the two larger native sources have run out of affordable inventory for you, say that in the request, because it is the strongest possible argument for moving it up the queue. If you are asking for it because you have not tried native at all, we will tell you to start somewhere cheaper.
The managed path runs today and depends on none of this. Platform pricing is on the pricing page and does not change with the networks you enable, which you can compare against the rest of the connected and registered platforms in this directory.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does LeadLocate integrate with Revcontent today?
No. It is registered in the ad gateway with a five step wire-up checklist and no working lifecycle methods. Deploy, pause, report and verification calls all return a refusal naming the network, so nothing in the product can imply a link that does not exist.
Can I use my own Revcontent ad account?
Not through the CRM yet. The self connect half is unbuilt. On the vendor side nothing blocks you, since API credentials are requested from inside the advertiser dashboard with no partner review, so the missing piece is entirely ours.
What happens if I request Revcontent?
It is logged against this network specifically and counted, and that count feeds build order. A person answers with a range or a reason. Telling us which native sources you have already saturated makes the request considerably more persuasive than the name alone.
Should this be my first native network?
Usually not. The daily floor is several times higher than the cheapest option in the family and the impression pool is smaller, so a first test costs more and scales less. It earns its place once larger sources stop delivering volume at a price you like.
Will my payment and credit offers be approved?
That is the vendor's editorial call, not ours, and a curated network is stricter than a volume one. Plan a second creative angle that does not lead with a monthly figure, so a rejection costs you a day rather than the campaign.
How is this different from the larger native networks?
Same ad unit, smaller and more closely reviewed publisher pool, higher daily minimum, lower ceiling on available volume. The choice is between reach and predictability, and the right answer depends on which of those your last native campaign was short of.
Add a curated native source when volume stops scaling
Requests are counted against the platform they name and the count sets build order. Tell us your store and which native sources have already run out of affordable inventory.
