SiriusXM Media Integration for Dealerships
The audience that is already sitting in the product category, sold in market packages, and where our ad gateway stands with it.
LeadLocate does not connect to this platform today, and the request queue is what decides when it gets built. No SiriusXM adapter exists in the ad gateway, and access runs through an application the vendor reviews. Every entry in the directory carries a status with a published test, including all the ones that read exactly like this.
What SiriusXM Media actually is, in dealership terms
SiriusXM Media is the advertising arm of a group that covers more of the audio day than any other single seller. Satellite radio in the vehicle, the streaming app on phones and connected speakers, an ad supported music service with an enormous listener base, and one of the larger podcast networks, all sold from the same place, frequently as a local market package rather than a national one.
The dealership relevance is unusually direct. A large share of this listening happens in a car, on a commute, with the listener physically inside the product category while the message plays. No other channel in this directory can say that. Talk, sports and news programming carries the advertising load, which is also where a store's audience skews, and market level packages let a group buy a metropolitan area without buying the country.
What is being sold is reach and context. The unit is a spot, read or produced, delivered against an audience defined by market and by programming rather than by a browsing history.
Why a dealership would spend money here
Context is the argument and it is a strong one. A person hearing a dealership message while driving is being addressed in the exact environment the product occupies, during the part of the day when the frustrations of an old vehicle are most present. Add a broad local package spanning satellite, streaming and podcast placements, and a store can build genuine frequency across a market without assembling four separate buys.
The honest objection is the sales process and the floor that comes with it. This is bought like broadcast: packages, flights, insertion paperwork, produced creative and a conversation with a seller. Minimums are real, timelines are measured in weeks rather than an afternoon, and the whole thing sits closer to traditional media buying than to a self serve console. A single rooftop testing a small budget will find the process heavier than the money justifies.
The second objection is the one nobody in audio likes stating. Attribution is soft. You will get delivery, reach and frequency, and you will not get a lead record, so the value has to be inferred from branded search movement, call volume during the flight and what people mention on the showroom floor. A store that already buys terrestrial radio understands that bargain. A store that came up on social lead forms and expects a per lead number will find it uncomfortable, and should decide that before signing anything rather than after.
Where SiriusXM Media stands with LeadLocate today
Available on request. The test for that status is that work has not started, and here it is unambiguous: no adapter file in the ad gateway for this platform, no credential block, no authorization URL, no wire-up checklist.
Access class is PARTNER, and it is the vendor's gate rather than ours. Programmatic and API access comes through an application the vendor reviews, and on a seller whose business is largely relationship based, that review is a real step rather than a formality. Two clocks therefore stand between this page and a working connection, and a dealership request only moves one of them.
There is a further honesty worth putting on the page. A meaningful share of this inventory is transacted by people, in a way an API would not replace even if we had one. Building an adapter would change how a campaign is recorded and reported in the CRM. It would not turn a market package into a self serve purchase, and any vendor implying otherwise is describing software that does not match the medium. The index keeps the same distinction on every entry.
What data would move, and in which direction
Design rather than description, because none of it exists.
| Direction | What would move |
|---|---|
| Out to SiriusXM | Campaign and flight structure, the market or markets being bought, budget and dates, daypart and programming selections, and the produced spot reference |
| Back from SiriusXM | Spend, impressions, reach and frequency, delivery against the ordered flight, and the advertiser accounts a connected user is entitled to |
| Stored on our side | An encrypted access credential, a record of which objects were created and by which credentials, and an append only event log stamped in UTC |
| Never moves | Your customer list, your inventory feed, and any hashed audience file |
The second row contains no lead, and that is not an oversight. Audio does not produce one, and a design that implied it did would be selling a different medium under this name.
How the ad gateway works underneath
The work has not started, but there is no mystery about its shape.
Inside LeadLocate there is one provider agnostic library stating what any advertising platform must be able to do: hand us an authorization URL, exchange the code for a token, list the accounts you own, deploy a campaign, pause or resume it, return spend and results, and prove on demand that the connection still works. Seven operations, one adapter file per network. Every platform answers the same contract, which is why adding one is a scoped piece of work and why turning one on leaves the others untouched.
The shared foundation already exists and is not rebuilt per network. Credentials are encrypted before storage using AES-256-GCM. Every action taken against a network is written to an append only audit log carrying the company, the network, the user and the detail, stamped in UTC deliberately, because these tables are shared across dealerships and a local timestamp is one nobody can reconcile later. Campaign objects record which credentials created them and re-resolve those credentials afterwards, so a disconnected account never leaves unreachable work behind.
Twenty networks are registered against that contract and one is implemented. The rest answer every lifecycle call with a refusal naming the network, so a stray call fails in a way an engineer can read instead of looking like a vendor outage.
Managed by us, or connected to your own account
Two ways to advertise through LeadLocate. The first is the webXintel Ads Network: included, no registration, our team building campaigns from the selections you make in Leads Manager, and one line on the invoice instead of a pile of platform bills. It is available now and waits on nothing described here.
The second is your own advertiser relationship, which keeps the billing, the contract and the history with your store. Where an adapter exists you authorize once and campaigns route through your account. This platform has no adapter, so a store or group already buying broadcast audio continues exactly as it does, through its seller or its agency.
One constraint said plainly, because it holds across the gateway: pushing, pausing and reading spend from a network is done by our team rather than from your dashboard. In this category that limit is nearly invisible, since a flight bought as a package is not something anybody was going to pause from a dashboard on a Tuesday afternoon anyway.
What building this would take, and when you could measure it
The sequence would run like this. File the partner application and clear the vendor review that issues credentials. Add the credential block and write the adapter against the seven operations. Handle the produced spot as an asset reference, since no audio campaign exists without one. Implement delivery reporting against the ordered flight, which is the number that matters in broadcast style buying. Then verification.
Step one belongs to the vendor, and on a seller with a relationship driven sales process it is the longest step by some distance. That is the practical difference between this and a self serve network, and it is why the honest answer to when involves two estimates.
On measurement, plan in weeks. A flight needs to run long enough to build frequency before anything shows, and what shows is movement in branded search, call volume and showroom conversation rather than a row in a lead table. Judged against a per lead cost, audio always loses. Judged as the thing that makes the other channels convert better, it often earns its place, and nobody honest will promise you which of those it will be at your store. Our page on what to expect from car sales leads sets out how to think about that.
What we will not claim about SiriusXM Media
The gaps by name, including the ones peculiar to broadcast style audio.
We do not emit a vehicle catalog to any advertising platform, so no unit anywhere renders your inventory from a feed we produce.
We do not install or manage pixels and we operate no server side conversions API. Audio measurement products lean on a site side signal to connect exposure with a visit, and we do not supply that signal. There is no offline conversion upload either, so a delivered vehicle never travels back toward the flight that may have influenced it.
We export no hashed audience. Matching a customer list into a platform for targeting or suppression is a real capability in this category and nothing in our stack creates the file.
There is no lead form in audio to retrieve, and our form retrieval was built for a single network. We have no automated path that mints a distinct tracking number or offer code into a spot, so any attribution device has to be written into the script by a person before the flight airs. No campaign has ever been deployed from the CRM to this platform, and the code that would do it has not been written.
If you want SiriusXM Media on your store
Ask, with the markets you cover attached. Requests are recorded against the platform they name and counted, and the tally decides build order, because a dealership ready to spend on a channel is a better input than an internal opinion about which network looks impressive on a slide.
Expect two honest questions back. Are you buying a market or a rooftop, since the economics differ sharply, and do you already have produced audio, since without it the first four weeks are a studio conversation rather than a media one. If broader audio reach is the real goal, streaming audio for dealers covers the alternatives, several of which move faster. Meanwhile the managed path is available now and does not depend on any of this.
Platform pricing sits on the pricing page and does not vary with which networks are turned on.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does LeadLocate integrate with SiriusXM Media today?
No. It is available on request, which means work has not started: no adapter file, no credential block, no checklist. The request tally is what moves a platform off that status.
Can I use my own SiriusXM advertiser relationship?
You can keep buying exactly as you do now, through your seller or agency, and nothing here interferes. What does not exist is a connection between that buy and the CRM, so none of it appears in your reporting or your audit log.
What happens if I request SiriusXM Media?
It is logged against this platform by name and counted, and the count feeds build order. Because access is PARTNER gated, the answer separates our engineering time from a vendor review that is not ours to schedule.
Would an integration make this self serve?
No, and that matters. A meaningful share of this inventory is transacted by people in market packages. An adapter would change how the campaign is recorded and reported here, not how the medium is bought.
Is this a fit for a single rooftop store?
Often not. The buying process carries real minimums, produced creative and a timeline in weeks, which suits a group covering a metropolitan area better than one store testing a small budget.
How would results be judged?
By movement rather than by lead count: branded search, call volume during the flight, and how often the offer gets mentioned on the showroom floor. Anyone quoting you a cost per lead for audio is quoting a number the medium does not produce.
Queue SiriusXM Media with your markets attached
Requests are counted against the platform they name. Tell us the markets you cover and whether produced audio already exists, and you will get an honest read on fit before anyone talks about budget.
