Design Studio: Business Cards and Print Pieces
A salesperson should never wait three weeks and a vendor invoice for a business card. Design it on the dock, send it to the printer, hand it over at delivery.
What Design Studio does, in one sentence
Design Studio is the per-user design tool inside LeadLocate CRM where a salesperson or manager designs a business card, a referral card, an NFC card, a vCard and a set of floating buttons, pulls images from a stock library, and exports a print-ready file, without leaving the CRM or paying a designer. That is the whole feature. It is a design studio in the plain sense of the words, not a print shop and not an agency, sitting one click away on the dock next to the Referral Program it feeds.
The pieces it makes are the ones a dealership actually hands to people. The business card is still the most used sales tool in the building. The referral card is the physical reminder that a reward exists. The NFC card and the vCard put the salesperson's contact details on a customer's phone with a tap or a save, which is where the next purchase is decided. Floating buttons are the tap to call and tap to text buttons on a page. Design Studio makes all of them from the same place, with the same logo and the same phone number the CRM already knows.
How a store uses it on a normal week
A new salesperson starts on Monday. By Monday afternoon she has a business card: she opened Design Studio from the dock, started a project, opened the store's saved card layout, typed her name and title, and added the dealership's logo and the tracking number the CRM assigned her. She adjusted the text style, put a truck from the Stock Library across the back, and exported the print-ready file. The office sent it to the local printer the store already uses. Cards were on her desk Wednesday. No vendor portal, no proof by email, no three week wait.
Wednesday the sales manager builds a referral card for the month's push. Same studio, a folder called Referral Push, a landscape layout with the reward in large type and the shared team referral link on the back. He sets it up as a sheet of cards, rows and columns on one page, and prints fifty on the office printer for the delivery desk. Every car delivered that month leaves with one on the passenger seat.
Friday a customer who bought a minivan asks how to reach her salesperson later. He taps his NFC card against her phone; her phone opens his vCard, built in the studio, and she saves it. When her sister needs a car in the spring, his name is in her contacts with the store's number, not a personal cell.

Where it lives: the dock, projects, folders and the stock library
Design Studio has its own button on the dock at the bottom of LeadLocate CRM, between the Referral Program and My Inventory. It opens a canvas with projects and folders, so a store keeps its card layouts in one folder, its event pieces in another, and each user keeps their own work. A project has a name, a size and orientation, Portrait, Landscape, Square or a custom width and height, and a background color or a transparent background for a piece that will sit on a web page.
Inside a project the tools are the ones a card needs: text with style, color, size and spacing; upload your own images or pick from the Stock Library; Stickers for icons and badges; rotate, flip, scale and position; and a sheet mode with Rows and Columns and an Apply to All Cells button for printing many cards on one page. The output is print-ready, which means a file at the size you set that any printer, from the one in the office to a commercial shop, accepts as is.
The finished card has a home in the CRM too. Under User Management, each user's profile has a Business Card slot where the exported card is uploaded and kept on file for that rep. Salesperson pages built in Lead Pages and the personal salesperson websites are where the floating buttons go to work.
What it replaces, and what design work costs elsewhere
Most dealerships get business cards one of three ways. The OEM program, which produces a compliant card in about a month at a price per box that makes managers ration them. A local print shop with a designer, which is faster but bills design time every time a name changes. Or a free online design tool, where the logo is the wrong version, the phone number is a personal cell, and the file the rep downloads is the wrong size for the printer. Referral cards and NFC cards usually do not get made at all, because nobody owns the job.
Design Studio is part of the platform subscription. The design tool, the stock library, the sheet layouts and the print-ready export are included in every plan on the pricing page, from CRM Only at $199 a month up. The store pays its printer for paper and ink, and nothing else. The bigger saving is the one nobody invoices: the card exists on day one, the referral card exists at all, and every piece carries the store's number and logo because they came from the store's CRM.
The compliance angle: the store's number, the store's brand, on every piece
The quiet problem with business cards is what is printed on them. A card with a personal cell number moves the customer relationship off the store's phone system and onto a device the store does not own, which means the texts that follow are not logged, the opt outs are not honored, and the customer leaves when the salesperson does. A card designed in Design Studio carries the salesperson's tracking number from the CRM instead, so the calls and texts it produces land in the store's system with recording, logging and the do not call controls already in place.
The same holds for the referral card. The link on it is the one from the Referral Program, so a referral that comes in through it is a lead with a source, and the reward that follows is recorded in Payout History. And because the pieces are built from the store's own logo and layouts saved in the studio, they look like the dealership rather than like whatever the rep found online. Roles in User Management decide who can build store-wide pieces; every user builds their own.
How to turn it on
Nothing to enable. Open Design Studio from the dock in LeadLocate CRM, start a project, choose a size and orientation, and build. For a business card, add your name, title, the store's logo and your tracking number, pick a stock image or upload your own, and export. For a sheet of referral cards, set rows and columns and use Apply to All Cells so the whole page matches. Save the project so the next rep starts from the store's layout rather than from a blank canvas.
A store that wants a locked template every rep must use, a piece the studio does not offer, or its print pieces produced and shipped rather than exported to a file can ask for it; that is available on request and our team puts it in production for your dealership. The pre-recorded live demo shows a card built from a fresh user profile in a few minutes.
What to pair it with
Design Studio makes the physical pieces; the rest of the CRM makes them worth handing out. Pair it with the Referral Program, so the referral card carries a link that turns into a lead and a payout. Pair it with tracking phone numbers, so the number on the card rings the store's system and shows up in Reports by source. Pair it with Lead Pages and the personal salesperson websites, where the floating buttons and the vCard live online, and with the file library, where the exported files sit in the store's folders for the next print run.
For the deal-side paperwork, DealTracker's print packets, envelopes and postage handle what goes in the mail. Design Studio handles what goes in a customer's hand. The all features page lists everything else in the platform.
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I design in Design Studio?
Business cards, referral cards, NFC cards, a vCard customers save to their phone, and floating buttons for web pages, with text tools, stickers, uploaded images and a stock media library. Output is print-ready at the size you set.
Does LeadLocate print and ship the cards?
The studio exports a print-ready file you take to any printer, from the office printer to a commercial shop. Produced and shipped pieces are available on request; our team puts that in production for your dealership.
Can I print a whole sheet of cards on one page?
Yes. Set rows and columns in a project, design one cell, and use Apply to All Cells so the sheet matches. That is how a store prints fifty referral cards for the delivery desk in an afternoon.
Does every user get Design Studio?
Yes. It is on the dock for every user, and each user keeps their own projects and folders. Roles in User Management decide who builds store-wide pieces.
Where do the logo and phone number on a card come from?
You add them once: the store's logo file and the tracking number the CRM assigned to you, saved in the project so the next card starts from it. A card built here carries the store's number, so the calls and texts it produces land in the store's system.
Is Design Studio extra?
No. It is part of every LeadLocate plan, month to month, including CRM Only at $199 a month. You pay your printer for paper and ink and nothing else.
