Jax: The Bilingual AI Assistant Inside LeadLocate
An assistant for the salesperson and the manager, living in the CRM dock, that drafts, dictates and answers questions in whichever language the rep is speaking.
Jax is the AI assistant for your people, not a robot that talks to your customers
Here is the one sentence version, because a page like this should be quotable. Jax is the bilingual AI assistant inside the LeadLocate CRM: a chat in the dock, with voice input, that helps a salesperson or a manager write, dictate, review and find things faster, and answers in English or Spanish depending on which one the rep is speaking.
That last clause is the part most vendors blur. Jax faces the rep. It does not text your customers, it does not call your customers, and it does not pretend to be a person named Jax on your website at two in the morning. The customer facing side of the platform is a separate product: the free live chat widget for dealer sites and the automated assistant that can run on it, which have their own pages at AI chatbot for car dealer websites and live chat for car dealers. Jax is what the person on the other side of the desk uses.
The distinction matters for a practical reason. A message that goes to a shopper about their money should come from a human who owns the relationship. Jax makes that human faster and more consistent, and it makes a rep who thinks in Spanish just as fast as one who thinks in English. It stays out of the conversation itself.
Who Jax is for at a dealership
Three people get the most out of it. The first is the salesperson working a pipeline between ups, who has eleven texts to answer and a blank composer staring back. The second is the BDC agent who sends the same kinds of messages all day and needs each one to read like it was written for that shopper, not pasted from a document. The third is the sales manager who reviews what the team is sending and coaches from call transcripts, and who would rather ask a question than hunt through menus.
It is also for the store where half the floor speaks Spanish. Bilingual teams are common in the markets we serve, and most software assumes everyone thinks in English. Jax listens to how the rep is talking and answers in kind, so a Spanish speaking salesperson gets a Spanish speaking assistant without changing a setting or switching apps.
And it is for the solo operator or broker running the whole show alone. The platform was built so that a one person store can use the same tools as a forty person one, and an assistant in the dock is a cheap way to get a second set of hands that never leaves early.

What Jax includes, piece by piece
Jax chat in the dock. The bottom taskbar of the CRM, the same row that holds My Office, Marketing Tools, Design Studio, My Inventory, Reports and SecureWebX, carries a Jax button. Open it and you get a chat window. Type a question or tap the microphone and speak it. When you are done with a thread, clear the conversation and start clean. It is deliberately simple; the point is to get an answer without leaving the record you are working on.
The AI writing assistant in every composer. The Send a Text and Send an Email buttons on the top bar, and every composer in the Messaging and Email modules, include an AI writing assistant. Tell it what you want to say, what tone you want, and it produces a draft you can edit, shorten or throw away. The draft lands in the composer, not in the customer's phone; you still read it and you still press send.
AI merge fields. Ordinary merge fields drop a first name or a vehicle into a template. AI merge fields go one step further: the field is filled in by the assistant from the record, so a bulk text or an automated template can carry a line that reads like it was written for that lead rather than for a list.
Voice dictation. In the composers you can speak a message instead of typing it, then edit the text by hand before it goes out. On a lot at noon, or with a customer sitting across the desk, that is the difference between a note that gets written and one that does not.
Call transcripts. Calls placed and received through the CRM can be recorded and transcribed, and the transcript opens in a lightbox from the call record. That gives the rep and the manager text to work from: bring the points from a fourteen minute call into Jax and ask for a follow up draft that mentions what the customer actually said. Our page on call transcription covers the recording side in detail.
Jax answers in the language the rep is speaking
This is the headline capability and it is worth being precise about how it works. Jax does not ask you to pick a language. It reads the message or the voice input, works out whether the rep is speaking English or Spanish, and replies in that language. A rep can switch mid shift, or two reps can share a workstation, and the assistant follows whoever is talking.
Why it matters in a store: the bilingual salesperson is usually the busiest person on the floor, because every Spanish speaking customer gets routed to them and every English speaking manager needs something translated. Give that person an assistant that thinks in their first language and you take a real load off. Give the English only manager the same assistant and the two of them are finally working from the same tool instead of one translating for the other.
What it is not: it is not a promise that Jax handles Spanish speaking customers for you. It helps a Spanish speaking rep serve them well, which is a better outcome for the customer anyway. The rep reads the draft, decides if it says what they mean, and sends it under their own name from their own tracking number.
How Jax connects to the rest of LeadLocate
Jax is not a separate app with its own login. One login opens the CRM, Inventory Link, SecureWebX and the My LeadLocate account portal, and Jax lives inside the CRM session you are already in. There is nothing to connect, no key to paste and no second bill.
Because it sits inside the CRM, everything it helps you produce lands where the rest of your records live. A text drafted with the writing assistant goes out through the same SMS inbox with the same delivery status on the bubble, sent, delivered or failed. An email goes through the same composer that can authenticate your store's own domain. If you attach a vehicle with the inventory button, the unit's photos and price travel with the message as MMS or email, exactly as they would without the assistant. And every call, text, MMS, email and voicemail still lands in the one communications log on the lead, so a manager reviewing the record sees the whole conversation, not just the parts a person typed by hand.
It also sits next to the other AI that already does quiet work in the platform: call transcription, document reading, VIN scanning from a phone camera, driver license and insurance card scanning to a customer record. Our AI automotive CRM page lists those, and AI sales assistant for dealerships is the honest read on what this whole category really does. Jax is the piece of that stack you talk to.
What Jax replaces at the store
Mostly it replaces a document. Every dealership has one: the shared file of text templates that somebody wrote three managers ago, that every rep copies from, and that customers can spot from across the room because they have received the same message from two other stores. The writing assistant produces a draft for this shopper, about this vehicle, in this rep's voice, in a few seconds, and the template file quietly stops being opened.
It replaces the manager as proofreader. A good sales manager spends more time than they would admit rewriting texts before they go out, or wincing at ones that already did. With a draft that starts clean, the manager's review becomes a glance, and the coaching moves to what was said on the call, which is where it belongs.
It replaces the bilingual coworker as the translation desk. Nobody hired that person to translate for the rest of the floor, and it is the first thing that gets skipped when they are with a customer. An assistant that answers in Spanish gives the Spanish speaking rep their own tool and gives the coworker their afternoon back.
And it replaces the search through menus for a rep who has been on the platform for a week. Ask how to do something in the CRM, in plain words, and get pointed to it. The video training library and Live Training are still there for the deeper walk through; Jax is for the question you have right now with a customer waiting.
The rep stays in control, and the consent rules apply exactly the same
Software that writes messages raises a fair question about who is responsible for them. The answer with Jax is simple: the rep is. Nothing the assistant drafts goes anywhere until a person reads it and presses send, from their own login, under their own name and tracking number. The message record shows who sent it. There is no mode where Jax sends on its own.
Because the rep is sending, every rule that already governs texting at your store governs this too. Consent has to exist before a text goes out, and it does not become optional because the wording came from an assistant. Opt out has to be honored the moment it comes in, across the store, not per salesperson. The DNC Blacklist in the CRM keeps blocked numbers out, includes a two way inbound spam block, and runs a live do not call lookup on numbers so a rep is not the last line of defense. Our page on texting compliance goes deeper, and your own counsel still owns your policy.
On the data side, the customer information Jax helps you work with is the same Customer Profile the rest of the CRM uses, one shared buyer record with personally identifiable data encrypted. Access follows the roles you set in User Management, so a User, a Manager and a Master Administrator see what their role allows, with the assistant or without it.
What keeps working at your store when we are down
Every vendor has downtime and most of them would rather not talk about it, so here it is plainly. Jax is a drafting assistant, not a channel. Nothing your customer receives passes through it. That design choice is what makes an outage on the assistant side an inconvenience rather than an emergency.
If the assistant is unavailable, the Send a Text and Send an Email composers still send whatever the rep types, the VoIP softphone still dials, click to call still works, and the lead record still autosaves as you go. Voice dictation is the one piece that leans on the assistant layer, and typing is always right there next to it. Call recordings and transcripts that are already on the record stay on the record. The communications log, the calendar, the DNC Blacklist and the deal you are desking are all untouched, because none of them ever depended on Jax to run.
What your team loses in that window is a shortcut: the draft they would have edited, the answer they would have asked for. What they keep is every tool they use to actually reach a customer. We would rather you buy an assistant that makes a good process faster than one that becomes the process, and this is what that looks like when the lights flicker.
How to start with Jax
Jax is part of the LeadLocate CRM, not an add on with its own line item. If you have the CRM, you have the assistant in the dock, the AI writing assistant in the composers, AI merge fields, voice dictation and call transcription. CRM Only starts at $199 a month for a store that already has lead flow and wants the platform, and the plans that include lead generation start at $799. Everything is month to month, and the current figures are on the pricing page.
The way stores get value fastest is unglamorous. In the first week, have every rep draft their next ten follow up texts with the writing assistant instead of the template file, and have the manager read them. In the second week, turn on call transcription and have the manager skim a day of transcripts, then bring the best and worst into a five minute meeting. Let the Spanish speaking reps find Jax on their own; they will, and they will tell the rest of the floor.
If you would rather see it than read about it, the recorded demo shows the CRM with the dock open, or call 844-376-2274 and we will walk through it on your own screen. The full list of what ships with the platform is on all features, and you can contact us with the questions this page did not cover.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Jax?
Jax is the AI assistant inside the LeadLocate CRM. It lives in the dock as a chat with voice input, helps reps and managers draft texts and emails, work with merge fields and call transcripts, and answer questions about the CRM, and it replies in English or Spanish depending on which language the rep is using.
Does Jax text or call my customers on its own?
No. Jax faces the rep. Every draft it produces lands in a composer where a person reads it and presses send under their own name. The customer facing chat on your website is a separate product with its own pages, and it is not Jax.
How does the Spanish support work?
There is no language setting. Jax reads what the rep types or says, works out whether it is English or Spanish, and answers in that language. A rep can switch back and forth and the assistant follows.
Is Jax an extra charge?
No. Jax, the AI writing assistant in the composers, AI merge fields, voice dictation and call transcription are all part of the LeadLocate CRM. CRM Only starts at $199 a month and every plan is month to month; the pricing page has the current figures.
Does using an AI to draft a text change my consent obligations?
No. The rep sends the message, so the same consent and opt out rules apply as for any text from your store. The DNC Blacklist, live do not call lookup and communications log all work the same whether the wording came from Jax or from the rep.
What happens if Jax is unavailable?
Your team loses a drafting shortcut, nothing more. Texting, email, the softphone, the lead record, the calendar and the desking tools all run without the assistant, because nothing your customer receives ever passes through it.
See Jax open in the dock on a real lead
We will draft a follow up text with the writing assistant, dictate one, and ask Jax a question in Spanish, then give you one straight monthly number. Month to month, no long term contract.
