Google Display and Video 360 CRM Integration
Google's enterprise buying platform, the YouTube inventory it reaches, and an honest account of where it sits with our ad gateway.
LeadLocate does not connect to this platform today, and the request queue is what decides when it gets built. No adapter file exists in the ad gateway for it, and Google reviews an application before issuing credentials in any case. The directory carries the same published test on every entry, including this one.
What Display and Video 360 actually is, in dealership terms
Display and Video 360 is Google's enterprise buying platform, and the easiest way to understand it is by what it is not. It is not the Google Ads account your store logs into. It is the tool agencies and brand teams use to plan, buy and measure display, video, audio and connected TV across the open internet, with the media plan, the creative library and the audience work sitting in one console.
Two facts make it relevant to a dealership rather than only to a national brand. The first is YouTube. This platform can buy reserved YouTube inventory that a standard Google Ads account cannot reach, which is why a manufacturer campaign looks different from anything a store can replicate on its own. The second is co-op. Tier two regional campaigns and manufacturer funded programmes that a dealership participates in are frequently executed here, which means your store's money is already moving through this platform even if nobody at the store has ever seen the interface.
If what you actually want is the search and Performance Max side of Google, that is a different account and a different page. Start with the Google Ads integration instead.
Why a dealership would spend money here
The case is control over premium video. A store that wants its spot in front of a defined household on YouTube, on a connected TV app and on a publisher's site, with frequency capped across all three and one measurement view over the whole thing, is describing this platform. Nothing at the single account level does that as completely, and for a group running one brand message across several rooftops the planning tools are genuinely useful rather than decorative.
The honest objection is that it is oversized for most stores. Access is a partner arrangement rather than a self signup, the console assumes a trained buyer, and the platform fee sits on top of media. A single rooftop with a normal monthly budget will get most of the reach it needs from an ordinary Google Ads account with a video campaign in it, at a fraction of the operational cost. Buying an enterprise DSP to spend a modest local budget is a common and expensive mistake.
The second objection is who really controls the money. When the spend is co-op, the manufacturer or its agency of record usually decides the platform, the creative and the reporting. Connecting a CRM to that account does not move that decision, and it is worth being clear about which pot of money you are actually trying to steer.
Where Display and Video 360 stands with LeadLocate today
Available on request, and the published test for that status is blunt: not started, with demand deciding the order. There is no adapter file for this platform in the ad gateway, so there is no partial implementation to point at, no authorization URL and no checklist to quote.
Access class is PARTNER, which is Google's gate rather than ours. Credentials for this API require an application the vendor reviews, tied to an account with the right level of access, and that review is a process run on somebody else's calendar. It is a lighter gate than a spend commitment, which is why this platform reads differently from the certified entries elsewhere in the same family, but it is still a gate we cannot clear by working harder.
The useful distinction between this page and the Google Ads page is worth stating plainly, because the two get confused. That platform has an adapter file with a real authorization URL and a written checklist, which earns it a stronger status word. This one has neither. Same vendor, two different products, two different answers, and we would rather publish both than average them into something reassuring.
What data would move, and in which direction
Design, not description. Nothing here runs.
| Direction | What would move |
|---|---|
| Out to the platform | Insertion order and line item structure, the geographic radius around the store, budget and flight dates, and the creative variants chosen in Leads Manager |
| Back from the platform | Spend, impressions, completed video views and clicks, and the advertisers a connected partner account can reach |
| Stored on our side | An encrypted refresh token, a record of which objects were created under which credentials, and an append only event log stamped in UTC |
| Never moves | Your customer list, your inventory feed, and any audience list built from either |
Lead capture on this platform is a clickout. The shopper lands on your website and whatever your site captures is what you get, which is a different economics from a network with a form inside the app.
How the ad gateway works underneath
A platform sitting at not started is a statement about one file, not about the surrounding system.
LeadLocate has a single library defining what any advertising network must be able to do: hand us an authorization URL, exchange the code for a token, list the accounts you own, deploy a campaign, pause or resume it, return spend and results, and prove on demand that the connection still works. Seven operations, one adapter file per network, and every network answers the same seven. That is why adding one does not disturb the network that already runs, and why the estimate for a new one is a checklist rather than a shrug.
The shared parts are built and are not repeated per platform. Access tokens are encrypted before storage using AES-256-GCM. Every action taken against a network is written to an append only audit log carrying the company, the network, the user and the detail, stamped in UTC because these tables are shared across dealerships and a local timestamp is one nobody can reconcile later. Campaign objects record the credentials that created them and re-resolve those credentials afterwards, so disconnecting an account does not strand the campaigns built underneath it.
Managed by us, or connected to your own account
Two ways to advertise through LeadLocate, and the choice is yours.
The first is the webXintel Ads Network. It is included, our team builds and runs the campaigns from the selections you make in Leads Manager, and it arrives as a single line rather than a stack of platform invoices. There is no application to file and no partner arrangement to negotiate.
The second is your own account. Connect the advertising account your store already holds and campaigns route through it instead, on your billing, in your name, with the spend history intact. On an enterprise platform that path has a precondition: somebody has to hold the partner account, and for co-op spend that somebody is often not the store. A request that names this platform is therefore worth more to us when it says who controls the account.
One limit stated plainly, because it applies to the whole gateway: pushing, pausing and reading numbers from a network is done by our team today rather than from your dashboard. That is a deliberate constraint while the connection layer is young, and it is on the list to open up.
What going live would take, and when you could measure it
The order is fixed and the first step is not ours. Obtain access to the API through Google's application and review. Register the developer project and record credentials. Then write the adapter, implement the token exchange, implement advertiser listing so a dealer can choose which advertiser to run under, implement insertion order and line item creation, implement status changes, implement reporting and implement verification.
The engineering shape is familiar, which is exactly why the vendor review is the honest headline. A store asking when this could be live is asking a question with two answers, and only the second one is ours.
On measurement, premium video and display work upstream of the visit. A household sees a spot, and the search or the walk in follows days later, so there is no clean same day read and any vendor implying one is selling you a report rather than a result. That is not an argument against the channel, it is an argument for judging it over a flight rather than over a weekend, and for keeping the follow up on the leads it does produce fast. The reasoning behind that is set out on what to expect from car sales leads.
What we will not claim about Display and Video 360
The gaps on this platform are specific, and naming them is the point of the page.
We do not emit a vehicle catalog or a Merchant Center feed. Dynamic creative rendering your actual VINs runs from a product feed, and no code in our stack generates one for Google or for anybody else.
We do not deploy or manage Floodlight tags or any other tracking tag on your website. Conversion measurement on this platform depends on tagging we neither place nor maintain, which is worth knowing before anyone promises you attribution.
We do not export a Customer Match list or any hashed audience. Audiences built from a dealership's own customer data are a real capability here and there is no export in our product that produces one.
We do not run a server side conversions API or upload offline conversions, so store visits and closed sales are not fed back to the platform for optimisation by us.
No campaign has ever been deployed to this platform from the CRM, and no adapter exists that could deploy one. If a competitor's logo wall implies otherwise about their own product, ask them which of the seven operations they have actually implemented.
If you want Display and Video 360 on your store
Ask, and attach the store. Requests are recorded against the platform they name and counted, and that count is the input to build order, because a dealership ready to spend on a channel is a stronger signal than an internal roadmap discussion.
Two details make your request more useful than a name on a list. Whether the spend you have in mind is your own or co-op, since that decides who controls the account, and whether the reach you want is YouTube specifically, because in several cases the answer is a video campaign in an ordinary Google account and a much shorter conversation. We would rather tell you that than build you a longer road to the same place.
The managed path runs today and none of this blocks it. Pricing for the platform is on the pricing page and does not change based on which networks you turn on.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does LeadLocate integrate with Display and Video 360 today?
No. There is no adapter file for this platform in the ad gateway, so nothing partial exists. It sits at available on request, which means not started, with demand deciding the order.
Can I use my own Display and Video 360 account?
Not through the CRM, because there is nothing yet to connect it to. Holding partner access already would matter for the queue, since it removes the vendor review from the critical path.
What happens if I request Display and Video 360?
It is recorded against this platform specifically and counted, and the tally decides build order. You will hear back from a person with a range or a reason, including the honest answer that a Google Ads video campaign may be the better first move.
How is this different from the Google Ads entry in the directory?
Different product, different status. Google Ads has an adapter file with a real authorization URL and a written checklist. This platform has no file at all. Same vendor, and we publish both answers rather than blending them.
Can you run my co-op campaign through it?
No, and even if an adapter existed the account is usually controlled by the manufacturer or its agency of record. Tell us who holds the account when you request, because that changes the project more than the code does.
Would connecting give me YouTube reserve inventory?
Reserved YouTube inventory is reachable from this platform and not from a standard Google Ads account, but nothing about a CRM connection creates that access. The access comes from the partner account, not from us.
