How to Show OEM Incentives in Inventory Link

The incentives engine carries manufacturer programs for more than twenty makes. Here is how to get them onto your brand pages and in front of the salesperson working the deal.

The incentives engine in Inventory Link carries manufacturer programs for more than twenty makes, so there is no switch to turn on. Get your vehicles into the portal, fill in the store details in Profile, and the brand page for each make you carry shows the current lease, finance and cash offers. The same programs appear on the unit in the CRM deal view.

Step by Step

  1. Get your inventory into the portal

The platform works out which makes you carry from the vehicles in Inventory Link, so connect a provider feed, run the import that reads the cars off your own dealership website, or add units by hand. A broker with no lot switches on auto broker inventory mode and gets the brand offer pages anyway.

  2. Fill in the store details in Profile

Open Profile in the dealer portal and put in the store name, the phone number, the hours, the address and your website. Every brand page draws from there, so this is the one place to get it right and the reason you never hand type a phone number onto a page again.

  3. Open the brand pages for your makes

Go to the brand pages the platform built for your store and read each one as a shopper would. Tap Show all brands to see the full lineup the engine covers and confirm that the makes on your lot each have a page with the current programs on it.

  4. Put the matching cars under the offers

In Builder, turn on Show matching vehicles from your inventory so each offer shows the units on your lot it applies to. An offer with cars under it gives the shopper somewhere to go next; an offer on its own sends them to another store to find the car.

  5. Walk the shopper path once

Answer the questions the way a customer would, narrow by budget, payment and use, and tap Show me what fits. You should get the programs that apply and the vehicles behind them. Do this on a phone, because that is what most of your shoppers are holding.

  6. Check the same offers at the desk

Open a deal on a new unit in the CRM and look at the deal view under Desking. The Incentives Showroom shows the manufacturer lease program, finance rate and customer cash on that vehicle, which is where the pencil should start rather than from memory.

Before you start

There is no switch to hunt for. The incentives engine inside Inventory Link carries manufacturer programs for more than twenty makes, and once the platform knows which of those makes you carry, the offers show on your brand pages and on the vehicle at the desk. What you are really doing in this guide is making sure the platform knows your store.

So two things first. Get your vehicles into the portal, from a provider feed under Feeds, from an import that reads your own dealership website, or by hand, because the makes on your lot are what decide which brand pages get built. A broker with no lot switches on auto broker inventory mode and gets the brand offer pages connected without a vehicle to their name. An inventory feed and DMS access are not required.

Then fill in the store details in Profile: the store name, the phone number your customers should call, the hours and the address. Every brand page draws those from Profile, so a shopper reading a lease offer at nine at night sees the right number under it. The portal opens from the My Inventory button on the dock at the bottom of LeadLocate CRM with single sign on.

What you should see on your brand pages

A page for each make you carry, with the manufacturer's current programs on it: the lease special, the finance rate, the customer cash. Each one sits in a card built for that kind of offer, so a lease reads as a lease and a rate reads as a rate, with a lead form beside it and a Schedule a Visit sheet on the vehicles underneath.

When a shopper narrows things down by budget, payment and use and taps Show me what fits, the offers come back with the units on your lot that they apply to, which is the difference between an advertisement and a car they can come and drive. A shopper who wants to see the whole lineup taps Show all brands and gets every make, then picks their own way in.

Every form submission and every visit request from those pages lands in the dealer portal under Requests and in LeadLocate CRM as a lead with the vehicle attached, so an offer that worked shows up as a name your team can call rather than a click in a report.

Where your salespeople see the same offers

The same programs your shopper is reading appear where your salespeople work. Inside the CRM, the Incentives Showroom is part of the deal view under Desking, so a salesperson with a customer at the desk on a new unit sees the manufacturer's lease program, finance rate and customer cash on that vehicle without leaving the deal. Nobody walks to the tower to ask and nobody quotes last month's program from memory.

From there the number goes into the pencil. The worksheet is where a quoted incentive becomes a payment, and the EZ desking worksheets page covers that side of the desk, with the desking tool page covering the tool itself. The point of having the offer in both places is that the customer who read the brand page last night and the salesperson sitting across from them this morning are quoting the same program.

If it did not work

A make you carry has no page. The platform builds pages from the makes in your inventory, so if a franchise is missing, the units for it have not reached the portal. Open the inventory list, confirm the vehicles are there, and check the feed or the website import if they are not.

The offers look thin on one brand. Manufacturer programs vary by make and by month, and the engine shows the programs it carries for the makes you sell. If your store sells a make outside the ones the engine covers, that is available on request, and our team puts it in production for your dealership.

The page shows the wrong phone number or hours. Those come from Profile in the dealer portal. Fix them once there and every brand page picks the change up, which is the reason not to hand type them anywhere else.

The offer shows but no cars are under it. Turn on Show matching vehicles from your inventory in Builder so the units that qualify sit with the offer. A shopper who sees a program and no vehicle usually leaves to go find the vehicle somewhere else.

A salesperson says the deal view shows nothing. The Showroom appears on new units from the makes the engine covers. On a used unit there is no manufacturer program to show, which is correct rather than broken.

Related tasks

The product page for this is OEM Incentives Showroom, and the pages the offers live on are covered by brand offer pages, including the six offer card formats and the shared confirmation a shopper sees after they send a form.

The rest of the path has guides of its own in the LeadLocate Help Center: setting up brand pages, publishing the inventory site the offers sit beside, and handling the Schedule a Visit request that comes in when a shopper decides to come and drive the car the offer applies to. Point this month's advertising at the brand hero page for the make with the stronger program and let the pages do the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which makes do the incentives cover?

The engine carries manufacturer programs for more than twenty makes, and your brand pages show the ones you actually carry. A make outside that set is available on request, and our team puts it in production for your dealership.

Do I have to enter the offers myself?

No. The engine carries the programs and the brand pages show them, which is the point of having it. Your job is to make sure your inventory and your store details in Profile are current so the right pages get built with the right contact information.

Where does a salesperson see the incentives?

In the deal view under Desking in LeadLocate CRM. The Incentives Showroom sits on the unit being worked, so the lease program, the rate and the customer cash are on the screen next to the worksheet.

Why does a used vehicle show no incentives?

Because there is no manufacturer program on it to show. The Showroom covers new units from the makes the engine carries, and a used unit is priced and desked on its own merits.
