How to Send an Application to a Lender in SecureWebX

The application leaves your store once, to the lender you picked, with a code on it and a clock on it. Here is the whole send, and how the answer comes back.

Open the application in the SecureWebX console and click Send to Lender. Choose the bank or credit union with Select a Lender, decide whether they see your deal worksheet or the documents only, set how long access lasts, and send. The lender opens a code gated, watermarked view and answers through the lender response portal, and the answer lands on the file.

Step by Step

  1. Open the application

Find the deal in the SecureWebX inbox and click Open application. Read it once before you send it: applicant and co-applicant, residence, employment, income, the amount requested, the documents attached. This file is the lender's first impression of your store, so fix a blank field now rather than after a callback.

  2. Start the share

On the application, click Send to Lender. The share panel opens on the same record, so the deal never gets copied into another tool to move it. Everything you choose next is recorded on this application.

  3. Choose the lender

Pick the bank, credit union or finance company with Select a Lender. Your store's partner list fills that menu, so add the lenders you actually use once and they are there on every deal after that. Hunting for a new source, use Search the lender directory to browse lenders by category.

  4. Decide what the lender sees

Deal worksheet (optional: the structure the lender sees) controls whether your pencil travels with the file or the lender reviews the application and documents alone. Send the worksheet when you want them looking at your structure. Send documents only when you want their number first.

  5. Set the window and send it

Choose how long access lasts, three, seven, fourteen or thirty days, add a short message if the deal needs context, and send. The share goes out with an access code, so a forwarded link on its own opens nothing.

  6. Watch for the answer

The lender reviews in a watermarked viewer and responds through the lender response portal: an approval with a call sheet attached, a decline, or a request for more information. The response lands on this application, and a request for more information becomes a stipulation on the file.

  7. Fulfill, then close the share

Upload what the lender asked for with Upload for this lender and it appears inside the same share, under the same code and expiry. When the deal is placed, revoke any share you no longer want open. Access ends at once and the application records it.

Before you start

You need a SecureWebX login with a role that can share a file, and an application worth sending. The console opens from the SecureWebX button in the LeadLocate CRM dock with one login, and applications arrive in the credit application inbox as customers submit them. If your store is new to the console, SecureWebX is created with your LeadLocate account and the finance office is invited into it with roles.

Two things make the send faster. Put your lenders on the partner list before the first deal, so choosing one is a click rather than a hunt. And fill in the deal structure if you intend to share it, since a lender reading a bare application has to invent the numbers you already know.

What you should see

The share listed on the application with the lender's name, when it was sent, when it expires, and its current state. The lender receives a link and enters the access code before anything opens. You see whether they have opened it, and you can revoke it from the application at any point, which ends access immediately whether the deal went elsewhere or the file went to the wrong desk.

When the lender answers, the decision and outcome appear on this same application: approved with a call sheet, declined, or more information requested with the items listed. A request for more information arrives as a stipulation, so the next thing to do is on the file rather than in your memory of the call. The Send to Lender feature page covers the code, the expiry, the revoke and the watermark in full.

What the lender sees on the other side

No login into your console, and no account to create. The lender lands in a response portal built for one job: review this application and answer it. Inside it they open the credit application and the supporting documents in a secure viewer, and, when you attached a structure, Open lender deal recap (PDF) lays out the deal the way a buyer wants to read it, with the vehicle, the book-out and the checks your store ran.

That recap comes from the worksheet on the application, which is why a deal with a worksheet usually gets a faster answer than one without. The credit application worksheets page covers building one and attaching it. Your store's own buying rules, the ones you hold each lender to, live in the console as Lender Guidelines, so the desk structures to the program before the file ever leaves.

If it did not work

The lender says nothing arrived. Check the address on that partner record first, since one wrong character sends the notice nowhere useful, then send the share link straight to the loan officer you deal with. The code travels separately, which is the point.

The code will not open it. Codes are per share. A lender holding an older code from a previous deal has the wrong one. Send a fresh share and give them that code.

Access expired mid deal. Expiry is a feature, not a fault: it closes the file without anyone remembering to. Send a new share with a longer window when a lender is still working the deal.

It went to the wrong lender. Revoke the share from the application and their access ends immediately, then send it where it belongs. The revoke is on the record along with who did it.

The lender still wants paper. Some desks do. Send it as a fax from the console instead; the eFax page covers your store's fax numbers and inbound status.

Related tasks

Clearing what a lender asked for is on the stipulations workflow page, since a request for more information becomes a stip and the upload for that lender lands back inside the same share. When a deal goes the other way, adverse action notices are generated from the same application record. The LeadLocate Help Center holds the rest of the finance office guides. A lender workflow your store runs differently is available on request, and our team puts it in production for your dealership.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which lenders can I send an application to?

Any lender your store chooses, including regional banks and credit unions that are on no portal at all. They need a browser and the access code. Add the lenders you use to your partner list and pick one when you send.

How long does the lender keep access?

You choose when you send: three, seven, fourteen or thirty days. Access ends at expiry, or immediately when you revoke the share from the application.

Should I send the deal worksheet with the application?

Send it when you want the lender responding to your structure, and hold it back when you want their number first. The choice is on the share panel each time, so it can differ by lender and by deal.

Where does the lender's decision show up?

On the application you sent. The approval, decline or request for more information lands on that record with the call sheet or the item list, and a request for more information becomes a stipulation you can fulfill by upload.
