How to Edit Your Website in LeadLocate
The website LeadLocate hosts for your store or for you as a salesperson is edited from inside the CRM, one tab at a time, with no web developer in the loop.
Step by Step
Open the Website Editor
Sign in to LeadLocate CRM on a desktop browser. Open the Website menu in the main navigation and choose Website Editor. The editor opens on the Business Info tab with the site's current values filled in.
Check your business details
On Business Info, confirm Business Name, Address and the phone number. Use Display Address, Display Phone and Display Website to decide which of them visitors see. Paste your store's site into Enter a Website if you want a link back to it, and fill Menu Hours so the hours block is right.
Set the look on the Branding tab
Open Branding. Type the Hero Title and Hero Subtitle that greet a visitor, pick a Theme Color, and upload a Header Image, a logo and a Profile Photo. The three module blocks each take a heading and a short description; use them for the three things you most want a shopper to do.
Build the menu and social links
On Menu Links, give each menu page a Menu label and the page it points to, and leave Vehicles on if you want the inventory page in the menu. On Social Media, paste the Destination URL for each profile you actually maintain and leave the rest blank; empty fields do not render.
Decide what inventory shows
Open Inventory. Turn Show Inventory on to list the units Inventory Link holds for your store, set the Inventory Heading, and use Hide Prices if your store prefers to quote by phone or text. The list comes from the same inventory record the CRM composers use, so there is nothing to upload here.
Set the site live and open it
Back on Branding, find Site Status and switch it to online. Copy the address shown under My URL, open it in a private browser window, and read the page as a customer would. If you have your own domain, POINT MY DOMAIN starts that process.
Before you start
You need a LeadLocate CRM login and a desktop browser; the editor is a wide screen with six tabs and is not part of the mobile app. Any user can edit the personal website tied to their own profile. Editing the store's dealer website is a job for a Manager or Master Administrator, because the business details on it are the details that print on every customer facing page.
Have the assets ready before you open the editor: a logo, a header image, a square profile photo, the store's hours, and the exact addresses of the social profiles you keep current. If you want a shopper to book from the site, have your booking link handy too; the Business Info tab has a schedule field that can be filled from your personal calendar link or the shared team calendar link. Units on the inventory page come from Inventory Link, so if inventory is not connected yet, start there.
What you should see
Each tab saves its own fields, and the editor confirms a save with a short banner rather than a pop up. When you reopen the editor the values you typed are still there, which is the quickest way to confirm the save took. With Site Status set to online, the address under My URL loads a page with your hero title over the header image, the three module blocks below it, the menu across the top, and the inventory page listing units with photos and prices unless you turned Hide Prices on.
With Site Status set to offline, the same address shows a Website Currently Offline notice to visitors while you keep editing. That is the normal state for a first build: fill every tab, open the address once as a visitor, then flip the status. From then on, the Analytics tab starts filling with visits, sessions, devices and top pages for whatever Date range you pick, and the same numbers appear in the website visitor analytics views.

If it did not work
The page loads but shows old text. The tab was left before it saved. Go back to the tab, make the change again, and wait for the confirmation banner before moving on. A browser that blocks scripts on the CRM domain can also stop the save; allow the site and try again.
The inventory page is empty. Either Show Inventory is off on the Inventory tab, or the store's inventory is not connected. Open the Inventory menu in the CRM: if it also reads that inventory is not connected yet, contact our team and we switch on the feed, or Inventory Link imports the units from your existing website.
Visitors see the offline notice. Site Status is still set to offline on the Branding tab. Switch it to online and reload the address.
Your own domain does not open the site. Domain changes take time to reach every network, and the records have to point at LeadLocate. The custom domains and DNS page shows the self service DNS editor; if the domain was bought elsewhere, our team can point it for you on request.
Related tasks
The website editor handles the site itself. Landing pages built for one campaign, with their own forms and URL settings, live under the same Website menu in the Lead Pages landing page builder, and every form on them drops into the lead inbox. Traffic questions are answered on the Analytics tab and on the visitor analytics page. A salesperson who wants a site of their own rather than the store's page follows the same steps from their own login; the car salesman personal websites page explains what that site includes.
Every step by step guide for the platform is collected in the LeadLocate Help Center. If a layout or a field your store needs is not in the editor, it is available on request, and our team puts it in production for your dealership.
Tips from the floor
Write the Hero Title as the sentence a customer wants to hear, not the store's slogan. Keep the three module blocks to three real actions: browse inventory, get a payment, book a visit. Check the page on a phone before you announce it, because that is where most shoppers will read it. And put the site address on the business card and referral card you make in Design Studio, so the site and the card send people to the same place.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a web developer to edit my website?
No. The editor is a set of form fields inside LeadLocate CRM. You type, upload and save. The hosting, the page layout and the inventory page are handled for you.
Can I edit my website from the mobile app?
The editor is a desktop screen. The site it produces is built for phones, and the analytics it collects are visible on desktop under the Analytics tab.
Where do the vehicles on my website come from?
From Inventory Link, the same inventory record the CRM uses in its texting and email composers. Turn on Show Inventory on the Inventory tab and the units appear with photos and prices.
Can I use my own domain name for the site?
Yes. Use POINT MY DOMAIN on the Branding tab, then set the records in the self service DNS editor, or buy a domain through the CRM and it is pointed for you.
