Workspace: Your Whole Day on One Screen
Every appointment, follow up and to-do a salesperson owes today sits in one list that opens first thing in the morning and stays current all day. It is the daily planner built into the CRM, on the desk and on the phone.
What is the Workspace in LeadLocate CRM?
The Workspace is the first item in the main menu of LeadLocate CRM, ahead of Leads, Contacts, Desking and Inventory, because it is where a salesperson's day starts. It answers one question the moment it opens: who do I owe a call, a text or a visit today? Everything that answers it sits on one screen instead of five.
The screen has two working panels. Today's Appointments lists every appointment on the rep's calendar for the day with a count beside the title, so a glance tells the rep whether it is a two appointment day or a nine appointment day. Tasks & To-Dos is the follow up list: the scheduled tasks the CRM created from leads and appointments, plus the personal to-dos the rep or a manager added by hand, in one list. Two buttons above it, Due Today and Past Due, narrow the list to exactly what needs attention, and a Complete tab keeps the day's finished work where the rep and the manager can see it.
Every row carries its own actions. The top row reaches the customer: text, call or email, each one opening the CRM's own composer or phone on that lead. The bottom row manages the task: mark it complete, snooze it for an hour, or move it to tomorrow. A rep works the list from the top down and never leaves the screen to find a phone number. Alongside the lists, a News to be aware of panel carries dealer industry news drawn from automotive retail news feeds, so the rep who walks in at eight knows what the customer at ten may have read.
How does a car salesman use it as a daily planner?
A salesperson signs in at quarter to nine and the Workspace is already built. Four appointments today, the first at ten. Seven tasks due, two of them past due from yesterday afternoon. The rep clicks Past Due, and the two leftovers are at the top: a customer who asked for a payment on a certified SUV and a trade customer who wanted a callback after work. The rep texts the first from the row, calls the second, and marks both complete before the coffee is cold.
Marking a task complete opens a short popup that asks how the customer was reached, by phone, by text message, by email, by direct message or by postal mail, and offers a line for a note. The rep types that the customer is coming Saturday with the co-buyer, presses save, and the note lands on the lead's timeline. Nobody writes the same fact twice, and the next person who opens that lead reads exactly what happened.
At eleven a customer texts that he is running late and wants to talk after lunch. The rep snoozes the follow up for an hour instead of letting it sit in the list as a reproach. At four a lease customer asks to push the conversation to tomorrow, and the rep moves the task to tomorrow with one click. At six the list is short, the Complete tab is long, and the rep prints the task list for the morning huddle. That is the whole daily planner, and it lives in the same place as the customer records, the texts and the calendar.

How do reminders, to-dos and snooze work?
A reminder in LeadLocate is a to-do with a due date. The rep presses Add To-Do on the task panel, types what needs to be done in the To-Do Item field, adds optional notes, chooses who it is assigned to, and picks a due date and time. The item appears in the same list as every lead task, and when its time comes it counts as due today and then as past due until someone deals with it. The to-do fields take voice dictation and a one click grammar cleanup, so a rep walking the lot can speak the reminder instead of typing it.
Assign To is what turns a personal note into a management tool. A sales manager can add a to-do for a rep, such as calling back the customer who walked on price, and it lands on that rep's Workspace with a due time. A rep can add one for a teammate who covers the weekend. The item stays visible until it is done, which is the difference between a reminder and a sticky note.
Snooze is for timing, not avoidance. A snoozed task moves one hour forward and comes back on its own; a task moved to tomorrow leaves today's list and waits on tomorrow's. Appointments move the same way: reschedule to a new date and time from the appointment row, add a quick note to the appointment, or delete it with a reason, and a deleted appointment goes to the Trash Bin with that reason attached and can be restored. On the phone calendar, a rep taps an appointment and sends the customer a text or email reminder right from it.
What does bulk clear do, and when should a store use it?
Every task list eventually carries weight it should not: a rep back from a week off, a book of business handed from a departing salesperson, a campaign that generated follow ups for customers who already bought. The Clear All button on the task panel handles that in one step. It opens a small menu with two choices, clear all tasks on the list or select tasks to clear, and the second choice lets the rep tap the specific rows to retire.
Bulk clear closes tasks without recording a contact, which is exactly what it is for. A completed task says the customer was reached; a cleared task says the reminder no longer applies. Keeping the two apart keeps the store's activity reporting accurate, because a manager reading the numbers at month end sees real contacts, not a rep emptying a list. A Workspace that is cleared on purpose once in a while is a Workspace reps trust, and a list reps trust is a list they work.
Where does it live on the desktop and on the phone?
On the desktop the Workspace is the first entry in the main menu, and it is the natural home screen for anyone on the floor. The top bar stays above it with Send a Text, Make a Call and Send an Email, and the dock stays below it with My Office, Marketing Tools, Reports and Jax, the AI assistant, so the rep can reach any tool without losing the list.
On the LeadLocate mobile app the Workspace is its own screen with the same appointments and the same tasks and to-dos. A rep adds a to-do with a title, a due date and time and a note, completes a task with a note, snoozes a task or reschedules an appointment from the phone, and the change is on the desktop the moment the rep sits down. The phone's bottom dock carries Text, Call, New Lead, Email and Team, so the planner and the tools to act on it are one thumb apart. A salesperson who spends the day on the lot has the whole day in a pocket.
What does the Workspace replace?
Most salespeople already keep a daily planner. It is a paper pad on the desk, a stack of sticky notes on the monitor, a notes app on the phone, a spreadsheet of callbacks, and a memory of which customer said Thursday. Each of those holds a reminder in a place that knows nothing about the customer. The rep sees the note, then goes looking for the phone number, the last text and the vehicle, and half the time the note is the only thing that survived.
The Workspace holds the reminder on the customer. The row that says call Maria is the row that calls Maria, and the note the rep leaves after the call is on Maria's timeline for the next person. Dealers comparing tools on the auto dealer CRM software page will find that some CRMs sell a task dashboard as a separate module or bury it three menus deep. In LeadLocate it is the first screen, in every plan, at no additional cost, and it is fed by everything else in the platform: leads from the lead feeds, appointments from the shared team calendar and booking links, and follow ups from the store's own processes.
The compliance angle: every follow up on the record
A follow up that happened and a follow up that was recorded are the same thing only in a good CRM. When a rep completes a task on the Workspace, the method of contact and the note go on the lead's communications timeline next to every call recording, text, email and voicemail for that customer. A manager reviewing a complaint, a deal or a missed opportunity reads one timeline instead of interviewing three people.
Appointments carry the same discipline. Deleting one asks for the reason, a duplicate, a mistake or something else, and the deleted appointment goes to the Trash Bin with that reason, where it can be restored. Contacts on the store's Do Not Call Blacklist are hidden from the CRM's views, so a customer who asked to be left alone never shows up as someone's reminder. The store gets a planner that respects the customer's wishes and keeps a clean record of what each rep did, built in from day one.
How do you turn it on?
The Workspace is on for every user from the first login, and it fills itself as the account comes to life. Add each salesperson in User Management so their tasks and appointments are their own, connect the lead feeds so new leads create follow ups, and set each rep's booking link in Calendar Settings so appointments land on the right calendar. By the end of day one the Workspace shows real work.
Then set the habit. Ask every rep to start the morning on the Workspace, clear the past due items first, complete tasks with a note rather than letting them age, and use Add To-Do for every promise made on the phone. The step by step guides in the Help Center cover it: how to use the Workspace and how to add a reminder or to-do. Every plan also includes live training, and the training and onboarding page explains how a store books a session and gets the whole floor running on it the same week.
What should you pair it with?
The Workspace is the front of the house; a few features feed it. Appointment booking links let customers book themselves onto a rep's calendar, and every booking shows up in Today's Appointments. Follow Up Processes generate the drip and the tasks for each lead type, so the list reflects the store's process rather than each rep's memory. Lead notifications and alerts tell a rep the moment something new arrives, and In-Store Now marks the customer who just walked in for the ten o'clock appointment.
The Workspace is part of the LeadLocate CRM in every plan, including CRM Only, and every plan is month to month; current plans are on the pricing page. The all features list shows everything else that plugs into it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best CRM dashboard for a car salesman?
One that shows the day's appointments and follow ups in one list and lets the rep act on each without leaving the screen. The LeadLocate Workspace does that: appointments, tasks and to-dos together, past due items flagged, and text, call, email, complete, snooze and move to tomorrow on every row.
Can I set reminders in LeadLocate CRM?
Yes. Press Add To-Do on the Workspace, type the reminder, and pick a due date and time. It shows as due today when its day comes and as past due until someone completes it. You can assign it to yourself or to another user.
What does snooze do on a task?
Snooze moves the task one hour forward and brings it back on its own. For a task that belongs on another day, move it to tomorrow instead, and it leaves today's list and waits on tomorrow's.
How do I clear old tasks all at once?
Press Clear All on the task panel and choose to clear every task on the list or to select the ones to clear. Cleared tasks close without recording a contact, so the store's activity numbers stay accurate.
Is the Workspace on the phone app?
Yes. The LeadLocate mobile app has its own Workspace screen with the same appointments, tasks and to-dos. Add, complete, snooze and reschedule from the phone, and the desktop shows the change right away.
Does the Workspace cost extra?
No. It is part of LeadLocate CRM in every plan, including CRM Only, and plans are month to month. Current plans are on the pricing page.
Start every day with the whole day in view
The Workspace comes with every LeadLocate plan, month to month. Watch a salesperson's appointments, reminders and to-dos come together on one screen, then put your floor on it.
