Quantcast Advertising for Car Sales Leads

Display and video prospecting driven by the platform's own audience measurement across the web, targeted to your zone.

Quantcast is the advertising platform that uses its own measurement data across the web to find and reach new shoppers with display and video. LeadLocate reaches it for your dealership through the webXintel Ads Network, included with every plan and run by our team, or through Quantcast placement arranged in your store's name on request. Every lead lands in one CRM beside your other channels, targeted to the market you actually sell in.

What Quantcast is, in dealership terms

Quantcast is an advertising platform built on its own measurement of audiences across a very large share of the web, which it uses to model who is likely to become a customer for an advertiser and to reach those people with display and video across the open web, with targeting by geography and modeled audience, outcome based bidding and reporting by campaign. It sells a self serve platform for smaller advertisers and managed service for larger ones, and it retargets site visitors as well as prospecting for new ones.

For a dealership that means prospecting: reaching people in the zone who look, in their web behavior, like the people who already inquired at the store, with display and video across the sites they visit, and retargeting the ones who visited the store's site. It needs a tag on the store's website for the modeling and the retargeting, which the store's web vendor places.

Connecting your own Quantcast account to the CRM has its own page: Quantcast Integration for Car Dealers. This page is about the channel and the leads.

Why a dealership would spend money on Quantcast

A store spends on Quantcast for prospecting that finds new shoppers in the zone who resemble its existing ones, driven by measurement data across the web, with outcome bidding toward the lead page, from a self serve platform at franchise budgets. It creates demand rather than only following visitors.

The honest objection is that modeled prospecting is display, with display conversion rates, so the lead page has to work and the read is partly through branded search over weeks, and that the modeling and retargeting need a website tag the store's web vendor places. It suits a store with website traffic to model from.

For the broader case for this kind of channel, Dealership Website Visitor Retargeting covers it without repeating what is here.

Who Quantcast fits, and who it does not

Quantcast fits franchise stores with website traffic, stores that want prospecting beyond retargeting, and dealer groups running display per rooftop. It fits less well for stores with little traffic and for stores without a web vendor to place tags. National sellers can run it nationally.

How LeadLocate runs Quantcast for your store

Quantcast sells its placements through its own advertising console, and that console is where our team works. There are two ways to get there. The first is the webXintel Ads Network, included with every LeadLocate plan: you make your selections in Leads Manager, the zone you sell in, the campaign type and the questions a shopper answers before a lead is created, and our team builds and runs the campaigns from those selections. The second is your own Quantcast account. Ask for it from the Advertising Networks page inside the CRM and our team sets it up, usually the same day, so campaigns run under an account your dealership owns, with the spend on your card and the history in your name. If you or your agency already hold an account, say so in the request and we start from there. Nothing about the choice is permanent. A store can begin on the managed network and move to its own account later, or keep both running.

What a Quantcast lead looks like when it reaches the CRM

A Quantcast sourced lead reaches the CRM as a click from a display or video placement to a LeadLocate lead page or a vehicle page, a branded search, or a direct inquiry, attributed directly for the clicks and over weeks for the rest, with the campaign on the record.

Whichever way the shopper arrives, the record is the same. The lead carries its source, the campaign, and the answers to the pre screening questions you set in Leads Manager, and it goes to the salesperson or the rotation you chose in lead distribution. The first response can be automatic: a text, an email, a task on the calendar or a call from the BDC. If your store works leads in another CRM, turn on Instant Push and the lead is forwarded there by ADF the moment it arrives, at no change in price. What no channel can do is decide who submits the form. Some shoppers arrive with a VIN and a trade, some with a monthly budget and a rough idea, and both are real; what to expect from car sales leads covers that plainly.

One CRM for every channel you run

Every channel LeadLocate runs shares one workflow. Campaigns are set up in Leads Manager from a zone, a campaign type and a set of pre screening questions. Leads arrive in one inbox, route by one set of distribution rules, and are worked with the CRM's own texting, calling, call transcription, email and voicemail drop. Reporting is one place, with activity, company and management views. Quantcast slots into that as a source, nothing more, and that is the reason a store can afford to try it: the cost of adding a channel is the media, not another system. The advertising channels page lists every channel the CRM can run this way.

It also means a channel can be judged fairly. When every lead carries its source and every call, text and appointment is logged against it, the management report can show cost per lead and cost per appointment by channel over a quarter, which is the only honest way to compare a search campaign with a streaming flight or a mailing. A store that keeps its channels in separate systems never gets that comparison, and usually keeps paying for the one with the loudest sales rep.

For agencies that manage Quantcast for dealerships

For an agency, Quantcast is display prospecting with modeling behind it for any dealership client with website traffic, run from the self serve platform, and connecting the store's LeadLocate CRM shows the clicks and the branded search lift the campaign produced.

Most dealerships hand their advertising to a small local agency that already has their trust, and that agency is who usually ends up managing Quantcast. LeadLocate is built to sit underneath that relationship rather than compete with it. The agency keeps its accounts and its client, connects those accounts to the store's LeadLocate CRM or buys leads through the webXintel Ads Network, and manages every channel it runs for that store from one Leads Manager with one set of reports. For an agency serving several stores, that replaces a stack of platform logins per client with one system, and it gives the agency something it would otherwise have to build itself: a CRM the dealership actually works its leads in, with the follow up visible. Agencies that refer stores to LeadLocate can also enroll in the referral program inside the CRM. automotive-advertising-agency-alternativeL goes into the agency arrangement in more detail.

Targeting the market you actually sell in

Nobody drives across three states for a sedan, so the market Quantcast is bought in is the market you draw. Leads Manager's zone editor takes a radius, counties or a state and hands it to every channel you run, including this one, and the reporting comes back by that zone so you can see which part of your area actually answers, which is often not the part a store expected. Groups run separate zones per rooftop; brokers and national sellers open the map up. On financing campaigns the audience is not narrowed by protected characteristics, because fair lending rules do not allow it and the controls in Leads Manager are locked accordingly. Geography and vehicle targeting stay fully in your hands.

Getting started with Quantcast through LeadLocate

Two steps. First, if your dealership is not on the platform, pick a plan on the pricing page; every plan is month to month with no long term contract, and every plan includes the webXintel Ads Network. Second, from Leads Manager inside the CRM, open Advertising Networks and request Quantcast. Our team handles the setup, usually the same day, and the campaign is planned from your zone and your selections. Spend on an account you own is billed to you by Quantcast; there is no markup on it from us. If the store's process lives in another CRM, Instant Push forwards each lead there by ADF.

Expect a short conversation before anything runs: which vehicles, which zone, which questions a shopper should answer, what a fair trial of Quantcast looks like in your market and when to review it. Then the campaign runs and the reporting does the talking. A channel that earns its place stays; one that does not is turned off from the same page, and the store keeps the leads, the records and the history either way.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Quantcast need from the dealership?

A tag on the website placed by the store's web vendor, which the platform uses to model who to reach and to retarget visitors. Our team coordinates the website tags with your web vendor.

How is prospecting different from retargeting?

Retargeting reaches people who already visited the site; prospecting reaches new people in the zone who resemble the store's existing shoppers, which creates demand rather than only following it.

How is the campaign measured?

By clicks from placements to the lead page and vehicle pages, branded search lift in the zone during the flight and direct inquiries, reported in the CRM.

Do I need my own Quantcast account to run it through LeadLocate?

No. The webXintel Ads Network is included with every plan and needs no account of yours. If you want campaigns under an account your dealership owns, request the connection from the Advertising Networks page and our team sets it up, or connects the Quantcast account you or your agency already hold.

Can Quantcast leads go into the CRM we already use?

Yes. Turn on Instant Push in the CRM settings and every lead is forwarded to your existing CRM by ADF the moment it arrives, with its source attached. The subscription price is the same whether you work leads in LeadLocate or forward them.

What does LeadLocate charge for Quantcast?

The platform is a monthly subscription, month to month with no long term contract; the plans are on the pricing page and each includes the webXintel Ads Network. Media you buy through your own Quantcast account is billed by Quantcast to you, not marked up by us. We do not tie the price to results, because no one can promise what a shopper will do.
