How to Send a Deal Page for E-Signature in LeadLocate
Turn on the signature, send the private link, and watch the signed snapshot land on the deal record.
Step by Step
Open the deal
From the main menu choose Desking and open the deal. Confirm the structure is the one you want signed, because the customer signs a snapshot of what the page shows at that moment.
Turn on the signature
In the deal view set Require a signature. The customer page now carries a signature step, and the Signature area on the deal stays empty until the customer signs.
Check who gets the link
The page unlocks with a passcode texted to the buyer or co-buyer mobile number on the deal, so confirm the number is right before you send. Turn on Assigned salesperson Send SMS alert if you want a text when the customer acts.
Share the link
Open Share. Use Generate a new customer link if the deal has none yet, then Send to Customer by text or by email to the contact details on file. The Customer tracking link is short enough to read next to a dollar figure in a text.
Let the customer sign
The customer taps the link, chooses Text Me a Verification Code, enters the 6 digit verification code and taps Open My Deal. The page walks through Your deal steps, and the signature step is where the customer signs with a finger on the phone screen.
Confirm on the deal
Back in the deal view, the Signature area shows the signed snapshot with the sheet it was applied to. Set Deal Status to Deal Sent when the page goes out and move it forward when the signature lands.
What do I need before I send a deal page?
You need a desked deal in LeadLocate CRM and a correct mobile number on the buyer or co-buyer record, because the passcode goes to that number and nowhere else. Any user who can open the deal can send the page; the store's logo and colors on the page come from the website editor Branding tab, which a manager sets once. If the deal has a co-buyer, add them with Toggle to add a co-buyer / cosigner to this deal before you send, so the co-buyer number can unlock the page too.
Decide what you want signed. The signature is applied to a frozen snapshot of the sheet the customer is looking at, so finish the structure first. If the numbers are still moving, send the page without the signature switch, answer the questions in deal chat, and turn on Require a signature when the deal is where you want it.
What should I see when the customer signs?
On the customer side, the page opens under your store's branding, shows the vehicle, the trade, the payment options and the documents still needed, and lists the signature as one of Your deal steps. When the customer signs, the step is checked off and the customer is told the signature was received.
On your side, the deal view shows the signature in the Signature area with the sheet it was applied to, the deal history records when the page was shared and when it was signed, and the salesperson gets a text if Assigned salesperson Send SMS alert is on. The signed snapshot is frozen from further changes; a later edit to the worksheet produces a new version and a new link, and the old signed copy stays on the record as what was agreed. The customer deal pages page describes revisions, share and revoke in full.

What if it did not work?
The customer never got the passcode. The code goes to the buyer or co-buyer mobile number on the deal. Open the customer record, correct the number, and have the customer tap Text Me a Verification Code again. A landline or an email address on the mobile field is the usual cause.
The link opens an expired notice. Somebody used Revoke All Links Void every link shared for this deal, or the link was reset when a new one was generated. Open Share, use Generate a new customer link and send it again; the stored snapshots survive on the record.
There is no signature step on the page. Require a signature is off on the deal. Turn it on, save with Save changes to this deal, and the customer sees the step the next time the page loads without needing a new link.
What do I do next?
With the signature on the deal, the paperwork side takes over. Collect the documents the customer still owes through the review slots on the same page, or show the QR code on the desk, covered on how to upload deal documents by QR. Print the packet for the file from print packets and mail. If the deal is financed, the credit application goes through SecureWebX with the same numbers.
The Help Center lists every deal task in order, and the LeadLocate CRM page shows where the deal page sits in the platform. For a signature on a single worksheet rather than the whole page, share a pencil recap sheet; the customer taps Sign this worksheet, signs under Sign here and taps Apply signature, and the sheet shows Signed.
Tips from the floor
Send the page while the customer is still in the store, and watch them open it. A customer who has unlocked the page once knows how to do it again from home, and the first question about a number gets answered in person instead of by text that night. Send by text rather than email when you can; the passcode arrives on the same phone the link is on, so the whole unlock takes a few seconds. And say out loud that the page is not a contract and the figures are estimates until final lender approval, which is exactly what the sheet says in print; the signature records what was shown, and the finance office paperwork does the rest.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the customer need an app to sign?
No. The link opens in the phone browser, the passcode arrives by text, and the customer signs with a finger on the screen. Nothing is installed.
What exactly does the customer sign?
A frozen snapshot of the sheet on the page at that moment. The signature is stored on the deal with that snapshot, and later edits produce a new version rather than changing what was signed.
Can I take the link back after I send it?
Yes. Revoke All Links on the deal voids every link shared for that deal at once. Revoked links show an expired notice, the stored snapshots stay on the record, and a fresh link can be sent.
Is the e-signature legally usable?
The tool records who signed what and when, on a snapshot that cannot change afterward. Whether a given document in your state needs a wet signature is a question for your compliance counsel; the deal keeps the record either way.
Send the next deal as a page, not a photo
Customer deal pages with passcode access and e-signature are part of every LeadLocate CRM plan, month to month. Turn on the signature and send the first one today.
