How to Print a Deal Packet in LeadLocate
Pick the customer sheet that fits the buyer, add the dealer copy and the profit worksheet, and print from the deal view.
Step by Step
Open the deal
From the main menu choose Desking and open the deal. Save any change to the structure first with Save changes to this deal, so the printed sheet and the saved deal match.
Open the Print menu
Click Print on the deal view. The menu lists the customer versions and the dealer copy. Printing never submits the form, so a worksheet prints at any point in the write up without a required field error.
Choose the customer sheet
Pick the version for the buyer in front of you: v1: Customer View 3 payment options for a payment buyer, v2: Customer View Detailed breakdown for a first time buyer who wants it narrated, v3: Customer View Payment range options for a budget conversation, v4: Customer View Details with payment ranges for the analytical buyer or the finance turnover, and v5: Customer View Details Simplified for the four square.
Print the dealer copy
Choose Dealer View Full detail, internal use only for the store copy. It prints everything the screen shows, including the rate spread, the capped trade credit and the pencil grid with its rate rows, with a manager notes box that grows to fill the page. It is labeled for internal use and is not meant to leave the building.
Add the manager and customer extras
Click Print a one-page Deal P&L worksheet for the sales manager and Print customer reservation confirmation for a buyer who has put a vehicle on hold. Each prints on its own page.
Print and file
Send each sheet to your printer from the browser print dialog. The deal history records the print, and the packet goes to the desk or the finance office with the deal jacket.
What do I need before I print a deal packet?
You need a saved deal in LeadLocate CRM, a desktop browser and a printer. Printing is a desktop job from the deal view or the EZ Desking popup; the mobile app carries the deal but not the print engine, and the shared link is the phone's version of paper. Any user who can open the deal can print it.
Two settings shape every sheet and are worth checking once. The Worksheet disclaimer is the store level text printed on every customer sheet after the standard line that the sheet is not a contract and all figures are estimates until final lender approval. The store logo and colors come from the website editor Branding tab. Both live in your Dealership Profile and website settings, and a manager sets them once. The print packets and mail page explains each of the five customer versions in detail.
What should I see on the printed sheets?
Every customer version is one page and shares the same header, footer and disclaimer, with different guts. The three option sheet shows three columns with the middle one featured and detail held back. The detailed breakdown walks numbered steps from customer information through vehicle, pricing, trade, down and rebates, taxes and structure, with the payment last. The range sheet shows a payment band with no committed rate and room to write below it. The details with ranges version puts the range grid on top of the full itemized ledger. The simplified sheet is the four square. Odometer figures carry a footnote marker on every customer sheet, and the finance grid honors per cell rate ranges where the desk set them.
The Dealer View Full detail, internal use only copy shows the whole structure including the lease upfront tax itemization and the lender per grid row. The one page profit and loss worksheet shows the front and back for the manager. The reservation confirmation names the customer, the unit and the hold. What prints is what the customer's deal page and any shared pencil recap sheet show, to the penny, because all three read the same deal.

What if it did not work?
The sheet printed with old numbers. The deal was changed after the last save. Click Save changes to this deal, then print again. A sheet always reads the saved deal.
The sheet runs onto two pages. The browser print dialog has scaling or margins set for another job. Set the scale to fit the page and the margins to default, and print again. Every customer version is designed to fit one page at normal settings.
The disclaimer or logo is missing. The Worksheet disclaimer is empty or the Branding tab has no logo. Fill them in once in the profile and the website editor, and every sheet printed afterward carries them.
What do I do next?
When the customer is not in the building, the same sheet becomes mail. Envelope templates lay the address where a #10 window envelope shows it after a tri fold, and First Class postage is bought inside the software and printed on the sheet as an indicia; both are set up on request and covered on print packets and mail. For a customer who reads a phone better than paper, send the customer deal page instead and collect the signature there. Two more packets print from the scanners on a lead: the identity packet from the driver license scanner and the trade packet from trade in capture.
The Help Center lists every deal task in order, and the LeadLocate CRM page shows where printing sits in the platform.
Tips from the floor
Print one customer sheet, not all five. The version is the close: three columns for the payment buyer, the range board for the couple who cannot agree on a budget, the detailed ledger for the engineer. Keep the Dealer View Full detail, internal use only copy on your side of the desk; the menu says internal use for a reason. Print the profit and loss worksheet for the manager after the customer leaves, not while the customer is reading the sheet. And save before you print every time, so the sheet in the folder is the deal in the system.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which customer sheet should I print?
Three payment options for a payment buyer, the detailed breakdown for a first time buyer, the payment range sheet for a budget conversation, details with payment ranges for the analytical buyer or the finance turnover, and the simplified four square for the manager who works that way. All five print on one page.
Do the printed numbers match the deal page?
Yes. The print engine, the pencil recap share and the customer deal page all read the same saved deal, so the paper, the link and the page show the same figures.
Can I print from my phone?
Printing is a desktop job from the deal view or the EZ Desking popup. From the phone, share the pencil recap link or the deal page; it shows the same sheet.
Is printing extra?
No. The five customer versions, the dealer copy, the profit and loss worksheet and the reservation confirmation are part of every LeadLocate CRM plan. Postage for mailed packets is bought at the postal service rate from a balance the store funds.
