A New Salesperson's First 30 Days in LeadLocate
Day one login, week one leads, week two calendar and personal brand, week three the first desked deal, week four the habits that stick, and what the sales manager watches the whole time.
What is a new salesperson judged on in the first month?
Leads worked, customers reached, appointments set and shown, deals desked and units delivered. Those are the numbers on the manager's screen, and a new hire is judged on the first three before the last two, because the first month is about whether the person works the process, not whether the process has paid yet. The trouble at most stores is that a new salesperson spends the first month learning where things are: which app texts, which one dials, where the appointment goes, who has the credit application link, how a deal gets penciled. Every one of those questions is a day lost.
In LeadLocate CRM those tools are one login, and the first month can be about the customers instead. This page walks the thirty days in order, naming the screen at each step. The manager's view is at the end, because the manager is watching from day one. The LeadLocate CRM page lays out every module; a new salesperson needs about a third of them in the first week and most of them by the end of the month.
Day one: what does the new hire log into?
The manager adds the person in User Management as a User, sets their notification toggles, gives them a Quick Access PIN and default file folders, and that is the only account anyone creates, because one login carries them into LeadLocate CRM, SecureWebX, Inventory Link and the My LeadLocate account portal. The new hire installs the LeadLocate app on their phone, signs in with the PIN or a fingerprint, and sees the same Workspace, Leads, texting inbox, email inbox, calendar and call logs as the desktop, with a bottom dock of Text, Call, New Lead, Email and Team. The mobile app page shows every screen.
Day one is also training day. The video training library covers each screen, Live Training runs on a schedule, and Schedule Training in the top bar books a session for the store. Jax, the AI assistant on the dock, answers questions inside the CRM by chat or voice, in English or Spanish, so the new hire asks the software where the lost reason popup is instead of asking the manager for the ninth time. Team Chat gives them a channel with the floor, direct messages and presence, which is where the questions Jax cannot answer go.

Week one: how does the first lead get worked?
The new hire's first lead arrives without anyone handing it over, because round robin on the store's feeds put them in the rotation the moment the manager added them to the distribution list. The notification lands on their phone with a sound alert and a toast. Automated Templates already sent the first response under the store's name, and Follow Up Processes started the drip for that lead type, so the salesperson's job is the personal contact, not the boilerplate. The Workspace shows the appointments, reminders and to-dos for the day, and the Leads view shows the lead with its source and its prescreening answers.
Send a Text opens the texting inbox, with delivery status on every bubble so the new hire stops wondering whether the customer saw it. The AI writing assistant drafts a reply on request and AI merge fields personalize it; voice dictation lets them talk instead of type. The vehicle button in the composer attaches the unit the customer asked about from the store's inventory with photos and a price, and a trackable short link shows whether the customer clicked. Make a Call dials from the record through the browser softphone or the phone app, the call is recorded and a transcript opens next to the lead, and every call, text, MMS, email and voicemail lands in one communications log. By Friday of week one the new hire has a real record of every contact, which is more than most veterans had in their first year.
Week two: how does a salesperson get a calendar and a name?
Week two is when the appointment count starts to matter. The new hire opens Calendar Settings, one popup with a booking link and booking hours for their calendar, and from then on the link goes at the bottom of every text. Quick Schedule on the phone mirrors that same booking link, so a customer standing at the desk is booked in a few taps. Round robin runs on the shared calendar too, so walk in appointments rotate fairly. Appointment reminders go out on schedule, and the calendar connects to Google Calendar if the salesperson lives there.
The same week they get a name of their own. A personal salesperson website under the Website menu gives them a page with their inventory, their booking link and their contact details. Design Studio on the dock makes a business card, a referral card, an NFC card and a vCard from the store's branding and a stock media library, with print ready output. The Referral Program hands them a shared referral code and a campaign to send it with, and real gift card style rewards pay the customer who refers. A salesperson who leaves week two with a booking link, a website, a card and a referral code is set up better than most people who have been on the floor for years.
Week three: how does the first deal get desked?
The first serious customer of week three sits down, and the new hire presses Start New Deal from the lead. EZ Desking builds cash, finance and lease structures with the store's centralized deal defaults already set, so the new hire is choosing between pencils on the multi pencil grid rather than typing tax rates; the manager confirms the numbers before anything is shown. The Road to Sale checklist on the deal is the training wheel: every step the store expects, in order, on every deal, so the manager sees where a new hire skipped and the new hire learns the sequence by doing it. The desking tool page covers the engine in detail.
The pieces around the deal are in the same screen. The driver license scanner reads the customer's license from the phone camera into the Customer Profile. The trade-in form takes photos and a trade VIN scan with the odometer, and the Deal Jacket shows a QR code the customer scans to send the registration or a pay stub from their phone. When credit is the conversation, Send a Text carries the store's SecureWebX apply link and the application comes back to the store's inbox. The customer then sees a deal page branded to the store, with a PIN, an e-signature and deal chat, and a PencilRecap sheet to take home. A new hire who desks a deal this way in week three has done every step a veteran does, with the manager watching each one.
Week four: which habits should be set by the end of the month?
By week four the new hire should be doing five things without being told. Setting In-Store Now on the lead the moment a customer arrives, so the desk knows who is on the lot and the visit is on the record. Choosing a status and a tag on every lead, and filling the lost reason popup in full when a lead goes cold, because that is what the manager reads at month end. Keeping the Workspace clear, with reminders snoozed on purpose rather than ignored. Answering Team Chat, because that is where the desk asks for them. And working the Follow Up Processes rather than around them, so the drip and the personal contact tell the same story.
The tools that reward those habits show up in the same week. My Office gives them a personal desk canvas with widgets, saved spaces, VIN decode and text to speech. The Files menu holds their documents with secure sharing and a QR file share for the customer who wants a brochure on their phone. And the Feedback button on the dock files a bug or a feature request with a screenshot, which is a habit worth teaching early, because a new hire sees the software with clearer eyes than anyone.
What does the customer experience from a brand new rep?
Nothing that gives the newness away. The first response came from the store's template within moments. The follow up text had the vehicle attached with photos and a price and a link to book. The call was answered from the same number they texted. The appointment reminder arrived on time. The deal they agreed to appeared as a page branded to the store, with the numbers the manager had confirmed, and they signed it on their phone. A customer who negotiates from the first message or asks about a unit above their budget is a normal customer, and the what to expect from car sales leads page is the explainer a new hire should read in week one, so they treat that behaviour as the job rather than a problem.
What does the sales manager see across the thirty days?
The Reports dashboard on the dock shows activity reporting on what the new hire did, leads worked, texts sent and delivered, calls made, appointments booked and shown, deals desked, next to company reporting on the store, so the manager sees the new hire against the floor without building a spreadsheet. Call recordings and transcripts let the manager coach a real conversation rather than a remembered one. The communications log on each lead shows whether the follow up happened. The Road to Sale checklist shows where a deal skipped a step. The lost reason popup shows whether the new hire is losing to price, to a competitor or to silence.
The manager also controls the rails. The new hire's role in User Management decides what they can change, Follow Up Processes have restore defaults for the week they edited a drip they should not have, and the shared calendar shows the appointments before the new hire sets one on top of another. Anything a store wants added to a new hire's month that this page does not describe is available on request, our team puts it in production for your dealership.
How do you start a new hire on it?
Add the user, put them in the round robin list, hand them the app and the training library, and give them the booking link on day two. Everything else on this page follows from the first lead. Every plan is month to month with no long term contract, and current plans are on the pricing page. An individual salesperson can run on the same platform under their own name, with a personal website, a booking link and the same follow up engine, which is worth knowing for the new hire who is building a book.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a new salesperson need to log in on day one?
A user created in User Management as a User, with notification toggles, a Quick Access PIN and default file folders. One login carries them into LeadLocate CRM, SecureWebX, Inventory Link and the account portal, and the LeadLocate app signs in with the PIN or biometrics.
How does a new hire get leads without the manager handing them over?
Round robin. Once the manager adds them to a feed's distribution list, each new lead from that source rotates to them in turn, with a notification on their phone, the first response already sent by Automated Templates and the drip started by Follow Up Processes.
Can a new salesperson desk a deal in the first month?
Yes. Start New Deal from the lead opens EZ Desking with the store's centralized deal defaults already set, the Road to Sale checklist lists every step in order, and the manager confirms the numbers before the customer sees a deal page.
Where does a new hire go with questions about the software?
Jax, the AI assistant on the dock, answers inside the CRM by chat or voice in English or Spanish. The video training library covers each screen, Live Training runs on a schedule, Schedule Training books a session, and Team Chat reaches the floor.
What does the manager use to coach a new salesperson?
Activity reporting on the Reports dashboard, call recordings with transcripts, the communications log on each lead, the Road to Sale checklist on each deal and the lost reason popup, all of which fill from the work the new hire is already doing.
