How to Turn Automatic Renewal off in My LeadLocate

Automatic renewal is what keeps your store's subscription running from one term to the next. Switching it off is a cancellation with a later date on it, so read this before you click.

In My LeadLocate, open My Products & Services, find the subscription and switch automatic renewal off. The portal shows you the same warning a cancellation shows, because that is what it does: the account then reads Cancels at the End of Subscription and stops at the end of the paid term. Confirm with Yes, Cancel, or back out with No.

Step by Step

  1. Sign in as the account admin

Automatic renewal lives on the account portal, not in the CRM, and only a login with billing rights can change it. Press Sign In with the email your store used at signup, or use the sign in link sent to your email or the code sent to your mobile. Account Settings tells you who the account admin and the billing contact are if you are not sure.

  2. Open My Products and Services

Click My Products & Services. Every subscription and add on your store holds is listed here with its rate and its next renewal date. Press Show all if the list is collapsed, and read the whole account before you touch anything, because a group with several stores often has more than one subscription on the same login.

  3. Switch automatic renewal off on the right line

Find the subscription you mean and turn its automatic renewal control off. Some accounts reach the same place through Cancel Service on the subscription; both land on the same confirmation, because turning renewal off and cancelling are the same instruction with different wording.

  4. Read the warning and confirm

The portal tells you plainly what happens next: the subscription runs to the end of the term you have already paid for, then stops renewing. Press Yes, Cancel to go ahead, or No to leave the subscription as it is. Nothing changes until you confirm.

  5. Check the status on the account

Back on My Products & Services, the subscription now reads Cancels at the End of Subscription with the date it runs to. Open Invoices and you will see no further invoice scheduled past that date. That status line is your receipt for the request, and it is visible to anyone on your account with billing rights.

  6. Turn it back on whenever you want

Changed your mind before the term runs out, or after it? Press Cancellation Processed Click HERE to Request Reactivation on the same page and your rep picks it up, or open Create Support Request and say you want the subscription to keep renewing. Your data, numbers and users are all still there.

Before you start

You need a login with billing rights on My LeadLocate, which is the account admin or the billing contact your store named at signup. A CRM user login opens the products, not the billing, so if the switch is not on your screen the fix is usually the login rather than the account.

Know which subscription you mean. A dealer group that runs several rooftops on one account can hold more than one line on the products page, each with its own renewal date, and each add on renews with the subscription it hangs from. Read the whole page once before you change anything, and if two lines look alike, check the rate and the renewal date rather than the name.

Know, too, that this is a cancellation with a later date on it. If what you actually want is one quiet cycle instead of an ending, Skip A Month is the plan for that, it starts from $199, and it keeps everything in place. The pricing page lists it next to the rest of the plans.

What you should see

A confirmation before anything is saved, and then a clear status. The confirmation spells out that the subscription runs to the end of the term you have paid for. Once you press Yes, Cancel, the line on My Products & Services reads Cancels at the End of Subscription with the end date beside it, and the reactivation link appears on the same row.

Billing follows the status. Invoices shows the invoices already issued and nothing scheduled past the end date, and Transactions still shows every payment your store has made, because the history stays whatever the subscription does. Until that date arrives, every login, every user, every tracking number and every record in LeadLocate CRM works exactly as it did this morning. You paid for the term and the term is yours.

Why the screen warns you like a cancellation

Because it is one. Automatic renewal is the thing that carries the subscription from one term into the next, so switching it off is the instruction to end the subscription when the current term runs out. Rather than letting that sit quietly in a settings page and surprise someone in six weeks, the portal says it in the same words a cancellation uses, shows the end date, and asks you to confirm.

That is deliberate, and it is the behaviour every store should want from a vendor holding its customer records. Nobody at the store wakes up to a subscription that ended because a manager clicked a toggle they read as a billing preference. The status line stays on the account where the owner, the controller and the rep can all see it, and one click puts it back.

If it did not work

There is no renewal control on your screen. You are signed in as a CRM user rather than as the account admin or billing contact. Check the names on Account Settings and sign in with the email that owns the subscription, or ask that person to make the change.

You turned it off on the wrong line. Press the reactivation link on that line right away, then repeat the steps on the line you meant. Nothing is lost; the status simply goes back to renewing.

The status still reads renewing. The confirmation was never answered, so nothing was saved. Walk the steps again and watch for the confirmation, then refresh the page and read the line.

You want a smaller plan, not an ending. Open Create Support Request and say what the store needs for the next quarter. Plans, zones, seats and add ons all move, and your rep will reshape the account with you. Press Schedule a Call if you would rather do it out loud, and watch Support Requests for the reply.

Related tasks

The My LeadLocate page walks the rest of the portal: invoices, receipts, the payment method on the account, service credits, the file library and which users can launch which products. The LeadLocate Help Center has the companion guides for skipping a month, updating the payment method on the account and pulling a receipt.

Before you end a subscription over price, it is worth seeing what is already included in the one you have. The texting, the calling, the calendar, the credit application intake, the website tools and the desking worksheets all sit inside the platform you are paying for, and most stores are using a fraction of it. Anything your store needs that is not there is available on request, and our team puts it in production for your dealership.

Tips from the floor

Make the change yourself rather than asking a salesperson to do it, because the person who confirms it is the person who understands the end date. Screenshot the status line and drop it in the accounting folder the same day. Tell your rep why, in one sentence, on a ticket: half the time there is a plan that fits better and the store stays. And if the reason is a quiet season rather than a decision, skip a cycle instead and keep every record your store has built.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does turning automatic renewal off end my service right away?

No. The subscription runs to the end of the term you have already paid for, and the account reads Cancels at the End of Subscription until that date. Every login and every record works normally until then.

Why does the screen call it a cancellation?

Because that is what it does. Automatic renewal is what carries the subscription into the next term, so switching it off ends the subscription at the end of the current one. The portal says so plainly instead of hiding it in a settings page.

Can I turn automatic renewal back on?

Yes. Use the reactivation link on the same subscription line, or open a support request and say you want it renewing again. Your users, numbers and customer history are all still on the account.

What if I only need one quiet month?

Ask for Skip A Month instead. It is a plan starting from $199 that holds the account for one cycle and keeps your CRM, tracking number and history in place, then your full plan comes back.
