How to Connect Your Ad Accounts in LeadLocate
Bring the advertising accounts your dealership already owns into Leads Manager so campaigns you plan in the CRM run through them.
Step by Step
Open Leads Manager
Sign in to LeadLocate CRM on the desktop and open Leads Manager, the area where your lead campaigns are listed. The campaigns list shows each campaign with its Ad Network and Network Status.
Go to Ad Accounts
Click Ad Accounts. The Connections screen opens and lists the networks the advertising library knows about, the status of each for your store, and any accounts already connected. Use Expand all to open every network at once or Find a network to jump to one.
Authorize the account
Open the network you hold an account with and start the connection. You are sent to the network to sign in with the store's own login and approve the connection, then returned to the CRM. Use the store's business login, not a personal one, so the account stays the dealership's.
Check the status
Back on the Connections screen the network shows as connected and the Network Objects for that account, such as the ad account and the page it advertises under, appear beneath it. Your token is stored encrypted and every action taken with it is written to an audit log.
Point a campaign at the account
Click Back to Leads Manager, open a campaign or click Create a New Campaign, and choose the connected account as its Ad account. Our team builds the campaign in your account from your selections, launches it and manages it from there, and the campaign list shows where it stands the whole time.
Before you start
You need a plan that includes leads; Leads Manager is where those campaigns are planned, and the pricing page lists the plans month to month. A Manager or Master Administrator role in LeadLocate CRM is required to connect an account. You also need the login for the advertising account the store already holds, and it should be the store's business login rather than a salesperson's personal one, because the account, its history and its billing relationship with the network stay in whoever's name signs in.
Know which network the account is on. The integrations directory publishes a status per network, derived from the live adapters, so you can see before you start whether yours is live, being wired up, or available on request. A network your store wants that is not switched on yet is recorded on the Connections screen and our team puts it in production for your dealership.
What you should see
On the Connections screen the network you authorized shows as connected, with the Network Objects for the account listed beneath it. Back in the campaigns list, a campaign pointed at that account shows the network under Ad Network and its state under Network Status. From there our team takes the campaign the rest of the way: they build the creative and the lead form, run the final checks, launch it in your account and manage it from the zone and the offers you set.
Once the campaign is running, leads land in the CRM inbox with the campaign as their source, brought in by our team as part of running it, and round robin, Automated Templates and Follow Up Processes take over as with any lead. Open the account in the network's own console and you will see the same campaign there, in your account, with your history untouched. The Reports dashboard shows what the connected account produced next to the managed network and every other source.

If it did not work
The network sent you back without connecting. The login used does not have permission on the ad account, which is common when a former agency or employee set the account up. Sign in to the network with a login that administers the account, or have that person add the store's business login, then authorize again from Ad Accounts.
The network shows as connected but no objects appear under it. The account is connected but the ad account or page has not been selected yet, or the network is still being wired up for your store. Reopen the network on the Connections screen with Expand all and choose the objects; if the network is listed as available on request, our team finishes the wiring.
You want to disconnect. It is a click on the same screen where you connected. Campaigns already created keep the credentials that created them, so nothing running is stranded.
Related tasks
With the account connected, plan the campaign itself: draw the zone, read the market scan and set the offers in Leads Manager. Give the campaign's leads their own feed in Lead Feeds Manager so they get their own first touch templates and their own line in Reports. A store that would rather have the media handled entirely for it uses the managed webXintel Ads Network instead, and many stores use both.
The connect your own ad accounts feature page explains what changes when the accounts are yours. Every other walkthrough is in the help center, and the contact page reaches a person who will look at the accounts your store already holds with you.
Tips from the floor
Connect with a login the dealership controls, and write down who holds it. Most connection problems trace back to an account an agency created in its own name. Keep the campaigns you have always run yourself in your own account and use the managed network for the zone campaigns that bring in new buyers and sellers; both land in the same inbox and are judged by the same numbers. And remember that a financing campaign runs under fair lending rules on either path, so the targeting controls a financing campaign locks in Leads Manager stay locked whichever account it runs through.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who owns the account after I connect it?
You do. The account, its history and your billing relationship with the network stay in the store's name. Your token is stored encrypted, every action with it is logged, and you can disconnect on the same screen at any time.
Does connecting an account start spending?
No. Connecting simply lets Leads Manager work inside the account you already hold. Our team launches and manages every campaign in it from the selections you make in Leads Manager, and you decide together when each one starts and stops.
Which networks can I connect?
The integrations directory publishes a status per network. A network your store wants that is not switched on yet is available on request, and the Connections screen records the demand.
Is there a fee to connect an account?
No. Connecting is included with the LeadLocate plans that include leads, month to month. Your media spend on a connected account remains your own arrangement with that network.
Already hold your own ad accounts?
Connect them to Leads Manager and keep the history, the billing and the relationship in your name. Plans are month to month; ask us which of your accounts to connect first.
