Car Dealer Lead Generation Services
Leads that belong to your store alone, delivered into software built to work them, on a month you can cancel.
The three kinds of lead vendor, and which one you are talking to
Almost every vendor in this category calls itself a lead generation service, and they operate in fundamentally different ways. Knowing which one is on the phone tells you what to expect.
Marketplaces and listing sites generate consumer traffic to their own brand, then sell you the inquiries. The consumer thinks they are shopping on that site, not with your store. The lead is frequently shared with competing dealerships, and your relationship with the shopper starts as one of several.
Agencies spend your money on advertising and hand you what comes back. You own the results, which is good, and you also own the risk and the learning curve. Quality depends heavily on the individual account manager, and you often cannot tell whether a bad month was the market or the media buy.
Exclusive territory providers generate consumer demand and assign it to one store in a defined area. That is the model we run. The advantage is that when the shopper picks up, they are talking to you and not to a store four exits away that called them first. The tradeoff is that a territory is finite, so volume is bounded by the market you cover rather than by how much you are willing to spend.
What we deliver, specifically
There are two lead families and they behave very differently.
Inbound buyer leads are in market shoppers who came to us through our own properties and campaigns and asked to be contacted about a vehicle. Some arrive attached to a specific VIN, because they were looking at a particular unit. Others are open, describing what they want in general terms without naming a car. Every store gets a mix of the two, and any vendor promising you a ratio is guessing.
Opt in seller leads are local owners who filled out one of our vehicle offer request pages and asked a dealership to contact them about selling their vehicle. That is a supply channel, and for a used car department it is often worth more than the buyer side, because the constraint most stores face right now is inventory cost rather than showroom traffic. Nothing about it involves harvesting listings from anywhere. The owner raised their hand.
Both families land in the same CRM inbox, on the same customer record, worked by the same people with the same tools. That is the part most dealers underestimate. A lead source is only as good as the machine behind it.
Exclusivity and territory, in practical terms
You define a zone by ZIP around your store. Every lead submitted inside that zone is delivered to you and is not resold to another dealership. There is no version of this where three stores get the same name.
Territory design is a real conversation and we do it with you before anything turns on. A dense metropolitan zone and a rural zone covering the same square mileage produce completely different volume, so drawing a big circle is not the same as buying more leads. If you run more than one rooftop, the zones need to be laid out so your own stores are not calling the same consumer, which is an easy mistake to make and an unpleasant one to unwind later.
One more thing to be clear about: exclusivity is about us, not about the world. The consumer is still free to fill out forms on other sites, and many do. What exclusivity buys you is that the lead you paid for is not sold to a competitor by the same vendor who sold it to you.
Nothing is filtered, and why that is the right policy
A lot of vendors sell screening as a feature. We do not, and we want to be direct about the reasoning rather than hide it in a footnote.
We ask pre screening questions at the point of capture, and then every submitted lead inside your zone is delivered to you exclusively. Nothing is scored, ranked or held back. The reason is that nobody can reliably predict from a form submission who is going to buy. The shopper asking about a truck well above what their situation suggests is a real person with a real interest, and stores that dismiss those on sight give away deals every month. Screening on our end would mostly mean throwing away opportunities you paid for.
What we do instead is handle problems after delivery through a replacement review process, which is an honest mechanism rather than a promise made before anyone has spoken to the consumer. For an unvarnished description of how these leads behave, including the ones that will annoy your salespeople, read what to expect from car sales leads before you buy from anyone.
The marketing tools that come with it
Lead delivery is one thing. The rest of the marketing stack comes with the platform, which is what makes the economics work compared to buying leads from one vendor and software from another.
Lead pages is a landing page builder with per page URL settings, so you can stand up a page for one model, one offer, one credit situation or one weekend event, point traffic at it, and have the form post straight into your CRM. Paid ads and targeting modules handle the campaign side. Leads Manager is a self service campaign builder with a zone editor, so your store can build and adjust its own campaigns instead of filing a request and waiting a week. There are SMS campaigns with campaign lists, email campaigns and bulk email with recipient management, plus referral and affiliate accounts with automation for stores that want to formalize word of mouth.
A free live chat widget works on whatever website you already run, and per salesperson websites and inventory sites give producers a professional presence that still routes back to the store. All of it feeds one inbox rather than five dashboards.
What happens in the first sixty seconds decides most of it
Buying leads without fixing response time is the most expensive mistake in this category, and it is extremely common. Industry research has repeatedly found that speed to first contact is the most controllable variable in conversion, and most dealerships are far slower than they believe. Ask your manager how fast the store responds, then go measure it. The gap is usually embarrassing.
So the platform is built around closing that gap. New leads trigger a visual badge and a notification sound rather than waiting for a refresh. Global lead distribution rules assign to a named person immediately, with distribution lists for the exceptions, and lead history recording exactly where everything went so nobody can claim they never got it. An automated follow up process can send the first text within seconds, at any hour, so the shopper knows a real store is engaged.
Then the cadence. Most stores stop after two attempts, which is roughly where the returns are just beginning. Follow up processes, drip campaigns with an editor, task automation, reminders and appointment tools keep a defined sequence running for weeks without depending on anyone's memory.
The tools that turn a lead into a delivered car
Once someone answers, the conversation tools matter. SMS and MMS with full threading, RCS messaging with an SMS fallback, click to call with a VoIP softphone, call recording with transcription, voicemail drop so a salesperson leaves a prepared message and moves on, an email inbox and composer, and a mobile workspace for people who are never at a desk.
Two tools dealers do not expect: a phone validator and an email validator. Bad contact data quietly wastes a large share of every lead program, and validating before you dial or send is cheaper than discovering it a week later. The AutoMail voice stack adds IVR, call routing and forwarding on the inbound side, so the calls your campaigns generate actually reach a person.
When it is time to talk numbers, the desking engine covers loan and lease with a fifty state tax matrix, semimonthly payment frequency, trade credit caps and three lease tax methods, and publishes customer facing deal pages with e signature. On the finance side, SecureWebX handles secure online credit applications and apply links you can text. For credit challenged shoppers specifically, see subprime auto leads.
How to judge a lead vendor, including this one
Ask these in the first call. Where exactly do the leads come from, in one plain sentence? Are they exclusive to my store, and how is my territory defined? Is anything filtered or scored before I see it, and if so, on what basis? What is the process when a lead is unworkable? What is the contract length and the cancellation process? What is included, and what turns into a separate invoice in month four? Can I see the software running with real lead flow rather than a scripted demo?
Then two questions about your own store, which matter more. Who is going to work these leads by name, and what happens to them at 7pm on a Sunday? A lead program dropped onto a floor with no owner produces a bill and nothing else. We would rather you sort that out first, because a program that fails for that reason still fails.
We will not guarantee lead counts, close rates, appointment shows or gross, and we will not price against results. Anything that depends on consumer behavior is outside any vendor's control, and promises about it are a sales tactic.
Pricing and how stores usually begin
Inbound buyer leads start at $799 per month. Marketplace Acquisitions, the seller side, starts at $999. The Buyers & Sellers Hybrid Plan covers both on one bill from $1,599. CRM Only is $199 if you already have lead sources and just want the software. Lead Data Only is $599. Skip A Month is $199 for a store that needs to pause without losing its territory, which exists because seasonality is real and we would rather you pause than cancel. Everything is per store, month to month, with no long term contract. Current figures are on the pricing page.
Most stores start with one side rather than both. Sales floor light on traffic, start with buyer leads. Used car department starving for inventory, start with acquisitions. Run it sixty days with one named owner, measure time to first response and appointments set, then decide. That is a cleaner test than turning on everything at once and being unable to tell what worked.
Call 844-376-2274 or contact us and the first thing we will do is map your zone, not quote you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the leads exclusive to my dealership?
Yes. You define a territory by ZIP and every lead submitted inside that zone is delivered to you and is not resold to another store. The consumer can still contact other dealers on their own, but we do not sell the same lead twice.
Where do the leads actually come from?
Buyer leads are in market shoppers who came through our own properties and campaigns and asked to be contacted. Seller leads are local owners who filled out a vehicle offer request and asked a dealership to reach out. Both are inbound and opt in.
Do you filter or score leads before delivery?
No. We ask pre screening questions at capture and deliver every submitted lead in your zone. Nothing is scored or held back, and unworkable leads go through post delivery replacement review.
How many leads will I get each month?
It depends on your territory and on consumer activity in it, and we will not put a number on it before we have mapped your zone. We do not guarantee lead counts or sales results, because both depend on behavior no vendor controls.
Is the CRM included or is that extra?
Included. Lead plans come with the full CRM, texting, calling, voice stack, automation, desking and lead pages. CRM Only at $199 exists for stores that already have lead sources and want the software alone.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. Everything is month to month with no long term contract. Skip A Month at $199 lets a store pause during a slow stretch without giving up its territory.
See what your territory actually produces
We will map the zone around your store, show the CRM working live lead flow, and give you one number. Month to month, and Skip A Month if you need to pause.
